We recently stayed in Rooms 302 and 306 from the 7th to 9th Jan 2022.
It was a last minute booking and although rhe price was quite steep, thought we just had to accept the rate being school holidays and peak season.
The two rooms for the 2 nights cost us just under $2,000 AUD.
what a surprise when we went into the rooms. Very poorly equipped with a lounge that had so many cracks in the so called leather, it actually hurt to sit on or lay on, so we had to out a towel down on top of it. The air-conditioning was leaking so badly, that all of the bedding got wet as it ran down the walls.

By far the cheapest accommodation we could find in the area and we found it great value for money. Friendly staff (Russell), clean room and enjoyable quiet stay. We really enjoyed the Chinese restaurant downstairs as well. Thank you!
If you’re reading through the other reviews (some negative) I’d say that yes it’s an older building and not everything was of the best quality but if you are looking for clean, comfortable and budget accommodation then definitely worth booking 😊

Probably the biggest reason for my score is the price ~$210 per night, which is contextual to booking last minute so I think that the generally quoted price around $110 it's fair value. Some things which I found annoying were the WiFi failing on the second night, room phone didn't work, hot water highly variable, seemed to go hot and cold randomly which was annoying for me and a bit dangerous for my 3yo. Bathroom fan and finishes in the room were cheap - showing rust, peeling paint, holes in the carpet. Cockroach in the room on second morning, bin not emptied on arrival. Staff were nice.

Staff were unfriendly to us. No information left in the room in the form of booklets. No room service at all all week (cleaning, fresh towels etc), later found out that this was due to covid, but we found that information buried under other papers at an empty recption desk. No one at reception the multiple times we checked. Room and outside area were quite dirty, and king size bed was in fact two smaller beds pushed together. Overall it was ok, but all of these little things added up to make a somewhat unpleasant stay.

We booked a room for 3 people on When we asked for an extra towel, the staff asked us how many people were staying - we told them 3. Apparently they only received a booking for 2 people. After looking at the emails we received and the policy which was displayed on their listing they still treated us like criminals and… demanded that we still had to pay an extra $45 because they didn’t know that a third person was going to stay in a room with a 3 person capacity. The listing said that extra beds could not be booked and did not mention extra charges for additional guests. The booking
