Our Oral Health Practitioners (OHP's) are highly trained, tertiary-qualified dental health professionals who are registered in Dental Hygiene, Dental Therapy or Oral Health Therapy. They're passionate about what they do and focus on fostering positive attitudes to preventive dental health in orthodontics.
Our spacious practices in Bundoora and Balwyn North, Melbourne, are designed for your utmost comfort and care. Both our modern clinics are close to Melbourne CBD - specifically chosen for easy access via public transport and ample parking on-site. The purpose-built state-of-the-art facility in University Hill, Bundoora, is a home like no other.
Some orthodontic problems should be corrected whilst the baby teeth are still present. Early diagnosis and interceptive orthodontic treatment can help prevent more serious problems from arising. This can also provide a guide for good dental and facial growth and development. Not all treatment should be started early, however.

I just had my first consult with Dr. Braydon Patterson and had a great experience at the clinic. The customer service was friendly, efficient and professional. I felt very comfortable asking any questions that I had about the procedures/treatment.
Dr. Patterson's assistant Loretta was lovely and gave me a lot of informative and personalised insight into the specific orthodontic treatments that were suitable for my teeth and the pricing options for each of them felt very reasonable and affordable.

When I started process of having rx , I specifically advised I can manage to visit them only on afternoons.Reception said sure come for first visit in the morning then we can see you in the afternoon. Once first visit was over they refused to see me in the afternoon on top of that assistant to dentist was insisting we didn't give wrong information. I just wasted resources for the initial visit.

My daughter recently finished her Orthodontic treatment with Dr Hong Chan. Her smile is absolutely beautiful. Hong was amazing. So caring, gentle and understanding. His staff were always friendly, calming and really looked like they enjoyed themselves whilst working. A really positive vibe at Smile Council. I will definitely be bringing my other kids along to see Hong when they are ready. I would certainly recommend Smile Council based on our families experience.

Great Service at smile Council Bundoora, staff were lovely and very accommodating with my work hours, my nurse Jasmin was so lovely she really took pride in her work! Dr Albert Wong was my doctor he was very precise and my teeth have turned out amazing perfectly straight! I have heard of so many orthodontics not using permanent retainers after the braces come off but smile council always do, which means my teeth will be straight forever. Highly Recommend :)

Our daughter required minor adjustment of one of her front teeth. After 8 months and over $8,500 dollars we had to go to another orthodontist. The new orthodontist had it fixed in 4 weeks at about one tenth the cost.
The premises are bright and modern but it is really like a factory. One of those was a 'consulting' visit. Of the remaining seven, 4 were to fix the brace that had come off. Only 3 appointments actually provided orthodontic treatment. At less than twenty minutes for each appointment that is over $8,500 an hour. If you take actual time with a dentist (at most 5 minutes a

I have had my braces on for a year now and I am unable to make appointments to get them adjusted because of smile councils hours. They DO NOT accomodate for individuals who work full time. They only work the hours of strictly 8-5pm. I have asked my boss for the morning off, I went to see them at 8am, they did not get me in until 8.30am. This is absolutely ridiculous. For the price you pay for orthodontics, you would expect them to accomodate patients more. I am paying for a service that I AM NOT getting. In addition to this, certain dentists only work specific days.... how does this help patients
