World Of Women Physiotherapy
Our World of Women originated from a strong desire to help women with pregnancy and pelvic floor related conditions. Our vision is to raise pelvic health awareness through advocacy & education by providing high quality, evidence based pelvic floor physio services. Our specialists work with you in developing an individualised treatment program to achieve your goals.

The above statistics are overwhelming as many women suffer from pelvic floor disorders, yet for most, the disease goes unnoticed and untreated. As women transition through various stages of life, starting from menstruation to childbearing years and then menopause, women's health is an area of care that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, unclear and distressed.
Services
We intend to bring the silent, but epidemic pelvic floor dysfunctions to the forefront and assist Women with the latest treatment options. Lalitha Gurram is the founder & clinical director of World of Women's Physio. With over 15 years of experience, her expertise is in the management of bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pessary fitting, pelvic pain, antenatal & postnatal care and enabling women to lead better lives.
Our main aim is to provide the best treatment options to suit your goals, assist and help navigate the ambiguous road of pelvic floor health and provide clinical tools that can be applied to your everyday activities. Let World of Women transform your life for the better! It is our wish that you leave our care feeling empowered to take control of your pelvic floor health.
Incontinence is the lack of voluntary control over urination. It affects more women than men and increases with age. It can occur during activities that increase abdominal pressures like coughing, lifting, jumping, running and laughing. Pregnancy, child birth (vaginal or c- section), menopause are some of the factors that increase the likelihood of Incontinence.
Bowel issues refer to problems with passing stools. This may lead to the unwanted passage of stool, called faecal incontinence. This can be stressful to deal with. But don't feel embarrassed about talking to your health care professional, as help is available.

For the bowel to function correctly, certain nerves in your body need to control the right muscles, instructing them when to contract and to release in order to allow faeces to be eliminated when you want them to.This happens when the muscles within the rectum and anus help control your bowels and sphincter muscles control or release your stool.
Pelvic floor muscle spasm occurs from trauma to and/or around pelvis, back and abdomen including, joint misalignment, pelvic fracture, habitual postures, strenuous physical activity, childbirth, sexual abuse, surgery and pelvic inflammation. As many as 60% of women experience painful intercourse and those with symptoms severe enough to require medical attention comprise a much smaller group.

Lalitha and her team are simply amazing. I highly recommend World of Women for anyone who has given birth. I wasn’t aware of how helpful a woman’s Physio is post birth. No one had informed me that so much critical repair and recovery happens 6 weeks after birth, and a Physio can really help ensure all things repair to the best of your body’s ability. It was such a lucky thing that I was referred so quickly to Lalitha by a nurse at Norwest Hospital after some pelvic floor issues post birth. What I didn’t expect was all the extra help I received with many other issues that were going on.

Highly recommended! I saw Lalitha during early pregnancy when I was experiencing significant pain and she helped so much. I also did ante natal exercise clatters which helped immensely and went for post natal checks as well. Lilitha and the team are so caring and I was so well looked after and felt so supported.

Lalitha is so caring, empathetic, professional and genuine in her approach to what can be very sensitive and personal issues that I have had trouble speaking about with my closest friends and family let alone my GP. Lalitha helped me overcome the vaginismus that has been a constant issue in my life over the past decade. Lalitha is a wealth of knowledge and you will not regret taking the first step in making the initial consultation. I've realised that is one of the biggest hurdles that many women will face - not knowing who or where they can go to get help. I was one of the women reading these

I have visited Lalitha for two rounds of blocked milk ducts while breastfeeding and both times she has helped me to fix the issue! The ultrasound treatment here really does work. Lalitha is so accommodating,
she understandss the urgency of blocked ducts and goes out of her way to ensure you can be treated. I am so grateful to have been recommended this physio, it has been life changing. Thank you Lalitha!

Lalitha at World of Women Physiotherapy is amazing! First time I met Lalitha I had painful blocked milk ducts. I spoke to doctors and midwives and they all said was to continue the massage, hot compress, feeding etc. Days went on with no relief and it eventually turned into mastitis. In desperation I googled other alternatives and that’s when I found out about ultrasound therapy at WOW physio. Lalitha cleared up my blocked milk ducts with 2 sessions of ultrasound therapy, it was like magic! I still had to take antibiotics but after each session I felt instant relief as she encouraged my to baby

Lalitha from World of Women is an excellent physiotherapist and I cannot recommend her highly enough! As a Women’s only physiotherapist she has created a safe, welcoming space and genuinely cares for her patients. She is highly knowledgeable about women’s issues and really takes the time to understand the concerns you have in a supportive environment.
I first saw Lalitha for treatment for mastitis when breastfeeding my first baby. I didn’t really know where to turn, as the GP had prescribed antibiotics but hadn’t given me any further treatment options or tips. Lalitha was a lifeline. I

I went to wow with pregnancy related pelvic injury ,this was my first pregnancy. Lalitha is amazing , to sum up my experience I basically couldn’t walk and was not able to move around from my bed and not perform basic functions. It was Lalitha who helped me regain my confidence and helped me achieve my goals and today within a span of few weeks I was able to quick recovery and perform my daily tasks. So big thanks to Lalitha and team for helping me achieve this. I would definitely recommend wow 5 stars

Lalitha is genuinely invested in the care and progress of her patients. I had a c sec and went to her for a routine postpartum check up. She was thorough in her examination and took extra time to answer all my questions. I was experiencing vasospasms (undiagnosed at the time) and was due to visit my lactation consultant the following day. Lalitha made sure to check in with me the next day to see what the diagnosis was and how I was holding up. She didn't have to do that. I went back to her for a pelvic scan and pilates classes she runs specifically for postpartum women. She definitely pushes you
