At Sports Physio Norwest we believe quality assessment and accurate diagnosis are the foundations for determining the appropriate treatment for any injury. Whether you're an elite sportsperson or someone who has hurt themselves gardening, every patient is examined systematically. We then explain what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it.

There are x-ray and radiological services available onsite, so x-rays can be organised immediately if required. If your injury is not amenable to physiotherapy we will set you on the most appropriate course of action. Established in 2007, Sports Physio Norwest is North Western Sydney's premier sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy facility.
Services
Established in 2007, Sports Physio Norwest is North Western Sydney's premier sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy facility. If you've got neck pain from sitting at a computer or you've "done a hami" trying to break a world record, you'll get the right advice and treatment- the first time. Andrew graduated from the University of Sydney's Masters Of Physiotherapy program in 2012.
Our physiotherapists are graduates of the University of Sydney. They are highly experienced in orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy and provide teaching and training to other physiotherapists. All share an enthusiasm for active rehabilitation and will provide an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment program.
You should wear clothing that allows the physiotherapist to thoroughly examine the injured area. If it is a lower limb, wearing or bringing shorts is a good idea, however we can lend you shorts if required. If it is a neck, back or upper limb, we provide gowns for our female patients, which allow the appropriate area to be examined.
Comprehensive theory and practical courses designed to teach you skills to incorporate into clinical practice. Matthew has over 20 years experience as an expert orthopaedic and sports physiotherapist and has presented extensively throughout Australia and at International conferences.

This course covers: functional anatomy of foot and ankle, fundamentals of clinical diagnosis, recognising common pathologies of the ankle, hind foot and mid foot, taping, manual therapy, neurodynamics and functional rehabilitation.Aimed to improve clinical diagnostic and treatment skills, techniques that can be implemented with your patients straight away.
We are one of the few clinics in north western Sydney with a Radial Shockwave Unit. Radial Shockwave Therapy (also known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, ESWT) is an effective, non-invasive solution to pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders. It involves the application of a series of high-energy pneumatic percussions to the area being treated.
