A split system is an air conditioner split into two sections. An indoor fan coil unit and an outdoor condensing unit are connected together by refrigerant pipes and electrical cables. Indoor units are available in a number of different styles to suit every application, such as wall mounted, floor consoles and floor/ceiling mounted units.
Gas heating consists of a gas furnace which can be installed internally or externally which distributes heating via grilles and diffusers to rooms you want to heat. Operation is via a wall mounted controller which offers a host of features depending on model. Zones can also be integrated into the installation for extra comfort control providing heating to only the areas in use thus saving on energy costs.
