Hawthorn Child Care and Early Learning Centre has provided exceptional care for children for over 25 years. We are committed to ensuring that all children in our care are provided with a nurturing environment where they have the opportunity to play, develop, learn and participate.
Each room offers educational programs which give children the opportunity and respect to learn and develop based on their individual developmental needs, interests, and experiences, viewing and supporting children as active participants and decision makers in the curriculum. We are committed to recognising each family individual needs and we acknowledge and respect the knowledge, wisdom, and relationship each family has with their child.

Services
Each classroom environment is designed with children in mind. Children's artwork and photographs are displayed throughout the room to further children's sense of belonging to the environment. Hawthorn Childcare Centre believes in the continuity of care and we ensure that regular educators care for your child.
Within the Gumnut room, we can cater for up to 15 babies between the ages of 6 weeks and 18 months. The staff ratio in this room is 1 educator to 4 children. In our Gumnut Room, we ensure that the same educators work within the room each week to ensure your child feels safe and secure in our care. Our dedicated and nurturing educators follow the individual routines of your child to ensure their transition into care is as smooth as possible.
Our Jacaranda Room caters for up to 35 children between the ages of 3 and 5 1/2 years. The educator to child ratio within this room is 1 educator to 11 children. We ensure that the same educators work within the room each week to ensure your child feels safe and secure in our care.
Children are provided with opportunities to increase their independence within a caring and nurturing environment to assist them with their transitions to both kindergarten and school.Throughout their day the children in the Jacaranda Room are provided with opportunities to be creative, use their imagination, problem solve, form friendships, and learn through play.

At Hawthorn Childcare and Early Learning Centre we believe in participating in, and contributing to, the wider community. We are committed to working with children and families to support their sense of belonging and active participation in our local and global communities. To assist children and families with this we invite people and organisations from across Adelaide to visit our Centre and share their experiences.
