Half Moon Bay Golf Club might have a relatively short history as far as golf clubs go, but it's a past rich with inspiring stories and colourful characters. Half Moon Bay Golf Club was established in 1969, carved out of the thick coastal scrub in an area the council had designated for a sports reserve.

Half Moon Bay Golf Club offers a range of golf programs for players of all ages and abilities. PGA Professional Graham Boulton offers a range of lessons & clinics for golfers of all levels. Half Moon Bay Golf Club offers a tight par 70 all-weather-course overlooking the Coral Sea to the east, and featuring sweeping views of the rainforest clad mountain ranges behind Cairns to the west.
All Golf Bookings must be made directly through the GolfShop: 07 4055 7884. Bookings are generally available 7 days in advance, but we are quite busy and our Members do have first priority. Please call if you'd like to get a game and we'll see what we can do. Paper contact tracing records are no longer allowed.

As someone who has never played golf before, I had a really positive experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. The course is absolutely stunning and the grounds are well maintained. Plenty of wildlife on the course, so keep an eye 👀 out. I would recommend bringing heaps of sunscreen, water, and snacks! I will definitely be back :)
