My husband and I went for a meal last night (Saturday 8th of January 2022) we found the staff to be polite and friendly. It was a nice evening so the beer garden was a nice place to be. We ordered a starter of cheesy garlic pizza, which was nice and thin and tasty. The spicy chicken wings were nice and crispy and plenty of them. For my main I ordered the Ribs with sweet potato fries and slaw. The serve was generous and the meat fell off the bone. My husband’s Chicken Parmy was thick and moist, with lots of cheesy Hawaiian topping. Excellent value and the drinks were reasonably priced too. We

Fine dining, quality and professional service, pleasant atmosphere - at reasonable 'pub' prices!
I attended the Village Hotel in the week before Christmas, and found that despite the restaurant being completely filled and extraordinarily busy, not only did the staff go out of the way to make up a small table for me just to fit me in, but then went out of their way to provide a high-quality, professional and pleasant dining experience.
I was extremely surprised at the quality and taste of their food, as I've had significantly worse when dining in fine-dining (and much more expensive!) restaurants

We made the mistake of booking into the Golden Grove tavern for Xmas lunch. It was the worst dining experience we have ever had. Entree salad had no dressing whatsoever. Main course Turkey and Ham was just that nothing else but a small amount of watery red sauxenot even a roast potato. We waited for 1 1/2 hrs for that paid $90 per head and couldn't even get a bread roll Lava pudding was dry with no Lava. Lots of meals left half eaten and people sending food back to kitchen. We left feeling very and disappointed. It uruined our Xmas day we will never go back there again.

We looked forward to our gift, 1st Hotel Christmas Dinner ever in our 80 years. Well, arrived at 1130am. Entree was ordinary; what Roast dinner? Turkey cooked nicely, ham a very small lump with a lot of grisly fat, spoon full of veg NOT roast but Italian style with watery sauce. another 1 1/2 hr wait we asked where sweets were. Christmas pudding was insipid, dry and gritty with no presentation cherry as per menu. Some at our family table did not get their sweets and some were cold. Waiting Staff were not allocated to specific tables just serving any table any time so they didn't appear to know

Service was pretty good, young lady who took my order was very helpful and talkative.
Meal was very disappointing, 400g medium rare rump turned into a squashed overcooked jerky.
I've had better meals there, hopefully it's a once off.

We went for a pre paid Christmas Lunch. The food and presentation could have been better, but average all the same. A lot of thought went into the table and venue decorations. Our main problem was with the timing, service and lack of planning that went into our lunch.
We were seated soon after arriving then waited over an hour for entree to arrive. This was after substituting my entree, because they ran out of meatball skewers. An hour later our mains arrived. Then after a second substitution, because they ran out of chocolate lava cake, and another 45 mins we finally got our desserts.

Standard pub fair. Staff were friendly. Dining chairs have incredibly uncomfortable single bar across the back (who thought it was a good idea to order these?) Not very nice walking in/out through all the smokers hanging around the entrance

This is a pub I would like to give 5 stars for so many reasons but its not quite there yet. Service is always fantastic and the food is generally really good, but have had some average ones there lately. Also the disabled bathroom the last time we visited was not in a good way and unfortunately it’s the only place to change a baby. I really didn’t want to take my little one in there. Over all I do like coming to this pub.

This place is perfect for children's birthdays or just dinner an the children have a huge INDOOR playground where u can enjoy your meal without taking eyes of your children playing. Or on my own I'll go out to massive beer garden huge screen with the footy or depending on what night they've got LIVE BANDS also a sports bar an gaming room I don't gamble or drink but this place is the entire package great for night out with friend or families. By far the best venue I've seen!

In the beer garden last night, I ordered the Beef Burger. It was not well lit where we were sitting so I didn't realise how rare the meat was until I had nearly finished eating it. I should have realised that the 'sauce' around the plate was blood. The pickles were nice. The toilet is getting a good workout today!
