Sean and Kate are both qualified environmental scientists with over 20 years' professional experience, and together they have established a reputable network of industry professionals and regulatory bodies. Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture), Post Graduate Diploma's in Natural Resource Management, Design for Bushfire Prone Areas, Environmental Management for Business (Herts) and in Bushfire Protection.
Harris Environmental specialise in the development of sustainable and effective on-site wastewater management. On-Site Wastewater Management systems are used to treat onsite wastewater where there is no available reticulated sewer. Land development would compromise areas needed for waste water disposal (Carparks, Pools, additional structures (sheds, and buildings).
Harris Environmental are Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) Accredited Practitioners and can provide you with a wide range of bushfire hazard assessments. We have provided assessments and BAL reports to builders, developers, surveyors, planners, architects as well as directly to clients. Bushfire assessments are required if a development site is on BUSHFIRE PRONE LAND and the type of assessment depends on the proposal.
We have been designing and installing floating treatment wetlands since 2005 in Australia. Our inspiration is that we believe that ecological design is an essential best management practice for future stormwater management. Our robust system was developed to be a fully functioning wetland that becomes part of the local ecosystem forever.
An Infill Development involves new house, alterations and additions in pre-existing subdivisions. You need a bushfire assessment report if your proposed infill development is located within or near to bushfire prone land. Harris Environmental prepares these assessments in accordance with the Planning for Bushfire Protection 2006 (PBP) and the Australian Standard 3959 (2009).
