Our dentists recommend annual dental checkups, or bi-annual checkups for patients with higher risk of dental problems.
At SIA Dental, our dentists perform dental cleaning procedures ranging from a basic plaque and tartar removal, to a more comprehensive deep gum cleaning. Your treatment needs will depend on your current gum health, which will be assessed at your initial consultation. Gum disease is the inflammation of the gums which affects the gums and bone that supports your teeth.

I've been visiting SIA Dental in Essendon for several years now, having had quite significant dental work during this time. I'm always treated with kindness and recognition from all staff, and - as a nervous dental patient - appreciate the understanding and gentle demeanour that I have consistently experience from everyone. Edmund is kind, approachable, gentle and considerate. The team were also incredibly helpful during an overseas emergency when I needed to obtain my dental records at very short notice for urgent treatment. Could not recommend them highly enough!

Today I had an initial consultation with Dr Edmund Kwong at his dental clinic in Essendon. From the moment I walked into the dentist room I was warmly greeted by the dental nurse and Dr Edmund Kwong. Which automatically subsided my anxiety of having a dentist consultation. Throughout the consultation both Dr Edmund Kwong and the Dental Nurse was extremely professional and warm. I did not feel any pain throughout the consultation. Other dental clinics I have been to I have always felt pain, but Dr Edmund Kwong is just very gentle with his hands and tools. I have had numerous dental works completed by Dr Claire Tan in the past 8 months or so and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
Like many others I am a little anxious when having any dental work done however I have found all of my appointments with and procedures completed by Claire to be pleasant and not at all stressful. If you are a little anxious about seeing a dentist I wouldn't hesitate in choosing Dr Tan as your dentist.
Numerous appointments are available, the prices are reasonable for the quality of work and the dental centre is clean, spacious and easy to get to.

Professional staff who kept me informed throughout the entire session. Edmund was very patient in explaining how my teeth are and what to do next. He also explained to me about the services and put no pressure on booking anything but gave very good advices. 10 out of 10 services. I would recommend this dentist to everyone and oh the price is very reasonable too (best in essendon).

I had an amazing dental experience at Essendon Sia dental. Dr Claire was extremely professional and made sure I was well looked after. The service provided by all the staff is exceptional. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. I didn’t have to wait long for my appointment, and felt my teeth were super clean afterwards. I can’t recommend a better dental practice.
