Our Clinical Pharmacist Report

Nam studied at the University of South Australia and is accredited with the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy. He has previous experience in community pharmacy, aged care, disability care and correctional services. When working with patients, Nam likes to place strong emphasis on education and communication, with an aim to provide clarity and improve medication literacy.

I arrived for my appointment 17 minutes early (very hot day) only to be told "come back 5 minutes before your appointment time". I said I was very hot & looked forward to their air-conditioning. NOPE not going to happen said the gruff girl outside.

Why is it that some doctors always run late. An appointment booked for 8:40am, and by 9:10 I’m still 2nd in the queue. Why is my time not important.
Either book less appointments, or be more realistic with time. I find it highly frustrating.
That being said some doctors are good and on time.

Have been a patient for over 10 years now , wouldn’t go anywhere else . Reception are friendly and take the time to say hello and ask how you are .. Drs are amazing and genuinely care for you and your well being . Great practice and disability friendly..( Drs with insight and knowledge) Five stars Arkaba medical .. keep up the great work !!

The doctors and reception team go above and beyond here. Nothing is too hard for them and when we really needed help, they were on it straight away with no questions and no trouble. Highly recommend this clinic.

Exceptionally rude reception staff. Notably the younger women are the worst. They could all do with some training in “friendly and helpful” customer service. So upsetting as the doctors are wonderful. In particular, doctors Moy and Crompton.

I go to the Arkaba Medical Centre because my Doctor moved there.. I live near the beach, but purely because of Dr Tim Ooi, Fullarton it is.
He's the best!

I tried most of the day to call the Arkaba Medical Centre and the number kept ringing out. Finally the call was answered at 5:27 pm by an after hours service. The website and the after hours service both have the office being open until 6pm and they had no notice it was closing early. I can only assume by the google popular times indicator the place was not busy.

I was a new patient here today as my gp is currently away . I specifically asked over the phone for a doctor that specialises in women’s health multiple times. I was assured that the doctor I was booked in with specialised in that area.
What I was booked in for was a very general women’s health enquiry, one that a gp should at least know the basics of.
I did have a few questions but the answer I got was ‘i don’t have an interest in women’s health’ despite it being under her name on the website.
The young receptionist was friendly and I did let her know I was unhappy with my experience

As it is an incredibly busy surgery for the number of people attending clinic-99% of the time I've attended has been a good experience in regard to staff and the general interaction with medical staff ectetra. Compared to other busy doctors practices this medical centre is one of the better surgery in regard to patient care and communication.

Dr Aparna Lockie is my regular physician and is an amazing doctor that shows a lot of passion in her work. She expresses a clear interest in me as an individual, rather than treating me solely as a patient. Dr Lockie discusses medical issues with enthusiasm and always tries to understand an issue to its fullest. I generally leave her appointments with a sense of confidence and deeper understanding of my medical issues. The clinic itself has friendly and receptive staff.
I strongly recommend Dr Lockie and the Arkaba Medical Clinic.
