Services
We bulk bill all patients who can produce a current concession, pension or commonwealth seniors card, and all children under the age of 16 years. For all other patients we require full payment of consults on the day. Please refer to our fee schedule on the front counter. A surcharge will be added to all accounts where payment is not paid on the day, at the account rate.
Woodcroft Medical Centre is a private billing surgery which requires payment in full at time of consultation for all patients who are over 16 years of age and not on a current concession, pension or commonwealth senior's card. A surcharge will be added to all accounts not paid on the day of consultation.
It is very important that you contact us prior to your appointment time if you are unable to attend. We require at least 2 hours' notice to allow another patient to be booked in. It is our Practice Policy to notify you if you fail to attend your appointment. However if you fail to attend your appointment repeatedly you will be charged a non- refundable fee, which is NOT claimable from Medicare.
Please be advised that it is now practice policy that NO TEST RESULTS will be given over the phone by Reception Staff. We have an efficient results service in place so if the doctor deems your results as "Urgent", you will receive a telephone call from either your GP or our Nursing Staff. For any Non-Urgent results requiring a follow up appointment, you will be notified by Mail.
Generally we like to see patients when requesting a repeat prescription to review your health and limit overuse/misuse, (unless otherwise decided by your doctor). Prescriptions issued by a Doctor without a consultation will now incur an $10.00 fee and will take 48 hours to be available for collection.

I've been going to this practice for over 20yrs, the reception staff are always very friendly & I've had 2 main drs over the years. 1 who moved on & now still for many yrs Dr Sim, he always is professional & friendly. The only thing which u get whenever u r dealing with many apps one after another is time delays however the drs always apologise to u & that's just life in this day & age!!

I rang this morning for an emergency appointment and 5pm was the only free timeslot.I booked that and Carmen said I will call if we have a cancellation .20 minutes later I got a call to say I could see a doctor at 9.30am.I was so delighted as it meant I could get started on my new prescription straight away.Well done WMC it made my day.Rita.

Recently just visited this practice and reception staff and doctors are very nice, caring, understanding and helpful. I couldn't get an appointment at my original gp, and called this practice for an appointment (plus being a new patient) and they were lovely enough to book me in and see me.

Professional , caring Family Practice. I have been attending since it First opened Dr John Pakos is an excellent Dr and every member of the staff at this Practise are Professional, Friendly and caring. The staff at the front counter are Warm ,weIcoming and highly professional . I have also seen Dr Sims and a few others if Dr Pakos is un-available best Doctors Practise in the Southern Area. A family practice with the community in mind. They are busy but they are the best and when it comes to my health and my families health they are the only surgery that have consultants and receptionists who really care and take the time to know you. The reception staff have Australia Day Community Service Awards because they give up their own time to help others. Excellent service from an outstanding team.

A shocking Medical centre. My five year old son missed one appointment and was told he was no longer welcome at the practice rather rudely by the lady at the front desk? Even after explaining that my son was rather ill and it was one appointment she rudely told him to go else wear. This is not our first shocking experience with this rather shoddily run practice. My Little daughter was administered the measles vaccine and half leaked onto my partners arm. If you child is ill do yourself a favour and stay well clear of this place. Horrible staff rude doctors just horrible......

I have been attending this Practice since the day it opened on Sherebrooke Blvd Woodcroft and have always been treated with the upmost respect from all the staff who have worked there. They would have one of the most professional Medical teams and always given 100% genuine care and compassion when needed in this very demanding field, not often do you recieve such caring friendly service every time from such dedicated staff. I believe this Surgery having a wide range of healthcare options makes this a first class Practice.
