Services
An au pair is simply a young (often foreign) person who cares for your children and helps with household chores in return for room, board and a small stipend. The term 'au pair' is French for 'on par', because the idea is that the au pair becomes like an equal member of your family. Since the au pair lives in your home, they are able to learn your family's language and culture while getting to explore your local area during their days off.
Unlike a nanny who looks after your children on a regular basis, our babysitters are there for you for all those unpredictable moments in life - whether that is the odd party you want to attend or the occasional emergency that crops up every now and then. Since these events are quite often on short notice, it can be very difficult for parents to adequately screen someone beforehand.
A nanny is like a babysitter who you employ on a fixed, regular basis to care for your children in your own home. They are similar to an au pair, except that they do not live with you. Some nannies choose nannying as a professional career. As such, some nannies will prefer to focus on the childcare aspect rather than additional house duties.
The first couple of years in a baby's life can be extremely exhausting for parents, with many disturbed nights. The extreme sleep deprivation over time can heavily impact a parent's ability to function during the day. A night nanny or night au pair can assist you during this period by tending to your baby while you sleep.
A senior carer is someone who lives with you in your home and who can assist you with household chores in return for room, board and a sometimes a small stipend depending on the amount of work required of them. Our senior carers are an affordable option to help you maintain independance in your own home for longer whilst also providing companionship.
