Gumtree Cottage is located on lands traditionally owned by the Turrbal and Meamjin people. Gumtree Cottage is a long day care and kindergarten service located in Everton Park, Queensland. Our centre is conveniently located on Rogers Parade East and within walking distance to McDowall State School. We have parking facilities at our centre to make things easier for those busy mornings and afternoons.
Guided by Affinity, our mission is to inspire and nurture individuals to reach their full potential. For children, this means empowering them to embrace their indikiduality. We do this by tailoring our support to engage each and every child. Our vision is for each child to reap the rewards of what they learn and discover so that they succeed at realising their full potential.
Our Healthy Children activities, events, incursions and excursions create a rich and holistic early learning experience for your child. It's important for developing children to eat the right mix of fresh and Healthy Food everyday to maintain their health and well-being. At our centre we are proud to have an in-house cook who works hard to deliver healthy meals and snacks for all children throughout the week.

Tina and the staff at Gumtree Cottage are Amazing!
The genuine affection and dedicated support shown to each individual in their care, vastly surpasses their competitors. Loyal, dedicated staff, wonderful attention to detail and the friendly environment makes leaving my daughter each day a joy- We only wish we found this centre earlier!

We started at gumtree just over two months ago. Gumtree cottage is more than a daycare. Itâs an extension of our family. The ladies and gentlemen that run and work in the centre are absolutely beautiful. We would not trust anyone else to look after our little Bub. From the minute we stepped in the door for the centre tour we knew this was the place for our little boy to grow and learn important life skills. We moved my daughter to Gumtree from another centre a few months ago and it was the best thing we ever did. In her last centre, she was sick all the time, upset most of the days she was there and was very shy and it was so hard see her like that all the time. Fast forward to being at Gumtree and she is a totally different child!! She is thriving and beyond happy and has grown in confidence in the few short months she has been there. We’re in our fifth year at Gumtree with our third child coming through and we love it!!the centre is like a second home for us and every educator makes us feel welcome, supported and appreciated! Highly recommend Gumtree Cottage đ absolutely every staff member cares and it shows in the children. My son Jack has autism they have gone above and beyond to support us. He has improved socially so much, made lots of new friends and so much more. Can't thank them all enough. Always feel welcomed by all staff and Jack loves his Teacher Mr Phil, who is amazing đ€© Tina love seeing your smile every morning and your doing a awesome job as the director.

We swapped to this daycare after having a really bad experience at a different centre. We are so happy with the care we get for our child. Staff is great and Tina always finds a solution to any obstacles. We love that there are always lots of activities going on with the kids. Different themes days and activities.

Gumtree Cottage has been incredible for our children. Our eldest son attended care from the age of 2 years old before going to school. The early learning and care he received has prepared him so well for school as he continues in his development. Highly recommend if you are considering care for your child. The staff are extremely experienced to meet your children's needs which is why we continue to trust Gumtree Cottage when it comes to caring for our youngest son as well.

I have been with gumtree cottage for about 6 weeks now. Initially before starting at Gumtree I was terrified at the thought of sending my daughter to daycare, but after meeting the ladies at Gumtree I felt relaxed and at ease. They take such good care of my daughter and I am just so grateful for all they do for her. I wouldnât want my daughter to go anywhere else.

When searching for a daycare centre we visited other facilities but none came close to the family feel of Gumtree. From our first visit we felt welcomed and the staffâs genuine care for the children was obvious. Three years on and our boys continue to love their daycare days and we are so thankful that we found Gumtree Cottage.

Our daughter began attending Gumtree Cottage when she was 4 months old. Her transition into the centre was fantastic and at 12 months old we are certain we made the right decision. The staff are caring and receptive, I wholeheartedly trust the level of care and respect my child receives. We have watched her grow and learn so much as a result of Gumtree, their learning through play approach has provided the foundation she needs to thrive into a social member of her community. Tina has made sure we felt comfortable each step of the way and her communication with us as a family has been exceptional

We have been apart of the Gumtree family since 2016 and we couldnât be happier. My boys love going each day and I love that we can see what a great time they have via storypark and through chatting with the staff.
The Educators go above and beyond and I know my children are in the best of hands, plus the fact they provide home cooked meals is the cherry on the top!
