We provide veterinary healthcare and surgical services to the Bankstown, Condell Park, Revesby, Panania, Yagoona, Padstow, Punchbowl, Panania, Bass Hill, Picnic Point, Milperra, Georges Hall, Greenacre, Chullora, Wiley Park areas and beyond. To bring the wonders of modern veterinary medicine to our community to help keep your loved ones healthy and long lived.
We are proud to have a long history of serving the community and passing on knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm from generation to generation. Bankstown Veterinary Hospital was established in 1948 by Dr John Buckingham, a Sydney University graduate. The area became a growth region thanks to Bankstown Airport which began its' life as an airforce base.
Bryant graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 2000 in his home town of Brisbane. He then made the big move to Sydney shortly after and has since worked in private practice for 18 years in the Southern Sydney region.
Before taking ownership of our hospitals in 2013, Bryant practiced at Croydon Park Veterinary Clinic for 10 years and before that at the Caringbah / Miranda / Connels Point multi-clinic practice as well as Menai Veterinary Hospital where he started.Outside of work, he is very house proud, an accomplished amateur chef and shares his home with his dog a Shiba Inu named Miso, a Burmilla cat named Mia, and 2 rainbow lorikeets named Jacob and Millie.

Upon your next visit you will notice some changes as we play our part in protecting our staff, clients, all of our families, the community at large and our shared human health system. Mask wearing is required when advised by NSW Health. For your convenience: We send SMS and e-mail reminders for appointments the afternoon before.
Unfortunately insurance companies have yet to put a system in place like HICAPS for human health insurance, which allows immediate claims with your insurer. We hope they set something like this up in the future. Until this happens the insurance companies require you to pay your veterinary health care provider and then claim from your insurer, just like the old days with human health insurance.

The below response is completely false from the veterinary hospital and a complete deformation of character to benefit their business. 3 members of my family were listening to this conversation and not one of us heard the below claims made by my father.
To make false claims again bad reviews to your business is unprofessional.
Absolutely appalling behavior.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My family called this morning to make an appointment for our dog. It took 15 minutes to make an appointment for tomorrow, with most of the time being left on hold

This place is terrible. I called this morning to book an appointment and they were booked out, I informed them i was happy to come tomorrow if they had something available after 15 mins of the receptionist checking availability a male came on the phone and accuses me of being rude. He said that they were under a lot of pressure as they were short staffed and refused service because i had an attitude, he then proceeded by hanging up on me.
Very disrespectful and rude. If I could give this place a ZERO, i would. Everyone is under a lot of stress and pressure at the moment and you should not take

My beautiful cat Brutus died under their care. A few years ago but still very painful. Went in for a routine tooth extraction due to possible abscess. He woke up after anaesthesia but turned blue and consequently died. I don’t think he got enough oxygen or care by the red head nurse at that time. Where was the vet I ask?
Then the vet tells me oh here’s some good news he didn’t need the tooth extracted after all. The nerve of that vet! Wish I got a second opinion. Dental procedures are good income for vets, always get a second opinion. Please and don’t be pushed into any procedure without

A very professional, personable practice. All doctors are knowledgeable. Our family often see Dr Nguyen, but all others are great too. The front desk staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help you appointment to minimise the wait time. They greet you at the door, know yours and your pets name. That's already taken away a lot of worries when you have unwell pet. Thank you.

Very helpful and very friendly, this will be my permanent vet for the future. It was my first time there and Dr. Miriam was very professional dealing with my cat and she friendly answered all my questions. Much appreciated for the great service.

My first time going to this Vet Hospital with my dog and Dr.Bryant Nguyen and the reception staff were all lovely, welcoming and informative! Got seen quickly and the practice is clean and tidy. Dr. Nguyen made my dog feel comfortable and did a thorough check-up as well as providing extra information as she is the first dog I've owned. Highly recommend this practice! Thank you and keep up the great work!
