Bax Doors Pty Ltd was established by Norman Baxter in partnership with his nephew Paul Norrie in 1964. Bax Doors was originally quite a large company and manufactured doors for customers and dealers all over Australia. In 1983 Bax Doors ceased the manufacturing side of the business due to our competition using cheaper materials thus providing cheaper doors.
Paul downsized and ran the business from his house and a factory in Leighton Pl, Hornsby and became an authorised B&D dealer. He has supplied, installed and automated thousands of doors and repaired panels, springs, motors and every part of a garage door during his life. Paul had been running the business for over 40 years and retired in 2012 passing on the legacy of Bax Doors to his youngest son, Gus.

There are many different types of garage doors available, with most of them designed so that they can be tailored to meet a customer's specific needs. We supply and install a wide range of B&D garage doors that come in a large range of Colorbond colours and profiles to suit any home.
Sectional garage doors are made from a number of rigid sections/panels that are hinged together and move vertically in the opening, then horizontally along the ceiling, guided by tracks and counter-balanced with springs. Panelift Icon includes all the key features of Panelift and more, including a huge range of colours and design choices.
Roller garage doors comprise of a ribbed steel curtain that moves vertically in the opening and rolls up and around the drum, guided by tracks and counterbalanced with springs. They are particularly suitable for garages and sheds where there is plenty of headroom above the opening and where a traditional look is required.
Garage doors need regular maintenance in order to operate correctly and safely. Parts can wear or even break leaving your door inoperable or dangerous. Garage door lifting systems involve springs under great tension and repairs shouldn't be attempted by untrained persons. We service and repair all garage doors from any manufacturer.

Fabulous workmanship. Gus and David are perfectionists when it comes to the product they deliver. We first had them replace a damaged garage door (recommended by B&D Doors). Whist there, we asked if they could sort out motorising a large gate. 5 people had previously looked at this and no one could do it - couldn't even get quote from any of these. Gus got this sorted, so we have now had them do further gates and fencing. Have been stoked with their pricing on each of the jobs (compared pricing against competitor on first job, but by last job, trusted them enough not to worry about getting quote
