I have been meaning to contact you since we returned from holiday last week. I really wanted to let you know how happy and impressed I was with the level of service that I received when I hired a car from you recently. I so loved that car! Abaa Car Rentals allows unlimited kms within a 250km range from the pickup location eg. Brisbane to Noosa or Brisbane to Coolangatta etc. Our budget range of vehicles are only permitted to travel between Brisbane and Tweed Heads. All our rental cars are covered for Third Party which covers the other vehicle/person in the event of an accident.

No dignity, no integrity. Very bad experience similar to many others. Rented in April 2021, my $200 bond has not been returned (as of January 2022) despite multiple contacts and lodged complaints. Stay away from them.

Horrible customer service. Booked a medium car and was provided a very very small car. Didn't want to be an inconvenience so we did not mention this issue. I believe the man we interacted with was named Jay and he was extremely rude. He was unwilling to politely answer basic questions about how the car should be returned or the payments. We also had a small problem with starting the car and when we asked for help, he raised his voice and kept saying it was such a standard thing that we shouldn't have had a problem with although it wasn't. I wouldn't recommend anybody go near this company. We hired a car in December with a drop off in the first week of Jan. We are STILL waiting for our bond to be refunded ~ 6 months later. We copped a lame excuse in March, blaming the virus ~ which is ridiculous given our rental was complete long before any impact on Australian business. We've emailed and we've called and left msgs and we have received zero correspondence. The fact they still appear to be operating is a disgrace. They are a negligent, unprofessional and shouldn't be allowed to operate. We are currently following up options extenally

Just want to re-iterate the experience others have had here. Rented in Dec 2019, my $200 bond has also not been returned (as of July 2020) despite multiple attempts to contact company. Still chasing up with credit card company - waste of time. Don't use these clowns...

Horrible customer service experience and really bad condition car.
I thought i'd book with Abaa Rental Cars as they were considerably cheaper than the mainstream rental companies, but the car was in horrible condition, i'm talking about the Hyundai Getz 3dr.
The vehicle condition had
1. Scratched up and dented body.
2. Cloudy headlights.
3. Heat soaked and heat cracked interior.
4. Remote locking from key was not working.
Just to name a few.
I booked through discovercars and everything seemed fine until i picked up the car, it was the condition of the car that hit me the most, but i thought

Ok service to book with, car in decent condition for the price but the company has not refunded my deposit. The excuse in March was that Covid has affected business so was holding my bond and it seems everyone else's in their account hostage until Covid is over. I have sent multiple emails and no response. Absolutely disgusted in how we as consumers are being treated by Abaa Car Rentals and hope they listen and refund the bond owed to all of us

I hired a car for a week in December. I got quoted a great daily rate over the phone and received superior service from Mark upon arrival at the Coolangatta office (he also has a great sense of humour). Car collected as agreed, car dropped at the Gold Coast Airport, as agreed. Deposit of $200.00 paid back in a timely manner. I highly recommend Abaa Car Rentals - I had no issues what so ever and will hire from them again if the need arises.

My girlfriend hired the car. The car was great and easy but still havent received the $200 bond after 2 months which seems like a common theme with the rest of the reviews below. So just be weary is my advice

Bookef car from Sydney. However on invoice it says bring licence. At the time I was still waiting for hard copy but had my paper licence from Landtransport and receipt (legal documents) Nd 2x Photo IDs. 3 kids in tow and they said the insurance company would not allow. Now my problem is the insurance through abba car rentals took money out a week before travel and after 3/52 they have not heard back from Abba so I can get my refund. Will stick to Budget car rentals never had a problem and they charge insurance at same time when collecting car.

Recently hired a car from Brisbane. No issues with the rental car / process itself although the car was a bit older than expected. Like a few other reviews, It's been 18 days since and still no return on the $200 bond.
Apart from the delayed refund, all good.
