Services
Neck pain can arise from a direct accident, gradual onset, or from simply turning the neck. Neck pain results from damage to the structures of the neck and can often happen from relatively simple movement such as flexion or turning the neck. Neck pain can be experienced on one side or both, occasionally feeling symptoms in the head and shoulders.
Thirroul physiotherapy provides rehabilitation services for individuals who have had orthopaedic or spinal surgeries. We have longstanding relationships with many surgeons of the Illawarra region, allowing us to keep up to date with progressive surgical techniques to optimise post-operative rehabilitation specific to the patient.
At Thirroul Physiotherapy and Sports Injury clinic, we can assist men and women who have pelvic floor dysfunction. Peter McIntyre has Postgraduate training in pelvic floor rehabilitation and a special interest in musculoskeletal issues affecting men. An initial one hour consultation allows for thorough assessment and program development.
Physiotherapy sessions can help identify issues associated or causing developmental delays. These sessions are based on the infant's individual needs and are integrated with family for a realistic outcome. The following conditions and symptoms may indicate the need for physiotherapy intervention with your child.
Mums and Bubs classes have been an essential component to Thirroul Physiotherapy, catering for mothers with children aged from 6 weeks and older. We are providing a service that delivers safe and appropriate exercise following pregnancy. Each class is 60 minutes in length focusing on posture, pelvic floor, core activation, strengthening and stretching.

A massive shout out to Jack!!!! from Thirroul Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic.
My daughter had recently received rehabilitation from Jack, for an injury she suffered in early March from a trial soccer match.
Having a professional therapist on site at both training and game day gives not only players relief, it reassures parents and carers that injury prevention and treatment will be addressed immediately focusing highly on their recovery.
Jack was extremely accommodating when asked on short notice to fit in Janaya for a clearance appointment. He treated Janaya with the upmost care, always

Peter is a really great physio who helped me find what was wrong with my back and has helped me various other times for injuries. I would highly recommend him to anyone, and am glad my cousin referred me to him in the first place!

What can I say about the best physio in the area? Pete and his crew have been amazing, sorting issues with many of my family over the past ten years, ensuring we can function and keep on the move. With the gym out the back, it's a one stop physio, with massage available, sports physiology and gym programs designed specifically for your injuries or issues. Thank you Pete for keeping me ticking!

I had a really bad experience here. After a good assessment of my issue the physio gave me a massage and electro therapy, but zero information about her diagnosis or rationale for the treatment. Then I was handed over to another (junior?) staff member no be taken through some exercises. She showed me one exercise and left me to practice it. She didn't monitor how I was going and forgot all about me - I was left lying on the floor in the main open area of the clinic. During this time another staff member was wandering in and out of the area talking on the phone about a person who had died!
