Laser is a highly powered form of light that can be set in individual colour spectrums. For instance, when a laser is set in the dark ink spectrum it will only affect colours (and shades) within that spectrum and will ignore colours (and shades) that are not within this spectrum.
Your dark ink tattoo is within this spectrum whilst your skin is not which means that the laser can be passed through your skin to locate your ink which is situated in the under layers of the skin (our top layer of skin is free of ink and remains unbroken during treatment).

Be very careful going into this clinic. Operated highly dangerous machine without giving me eye protection and failed to take the required medical history prior to my last session, later was unprofessionally demanding private information from me without giving proper basis and very unprofessional emails for someone running a business and someone who had done this, after I had complained to her and asked her to mitigate her conduct by apologising me & refunding me due to her negligence, further costs, inconvenience and harm this resulted for me. She never apologised nor refunded. I ended up incurring

On 8 May 2021, I unfortunately and regrettably visited this practice.
Hilary operated the laser tattoo removal machine without giving me protective glasses until I looked directly at the laser and had to ask her for them myself. What ensued for me was severe eye pain after flash-blindness and other issues this created for me. As well as other… medical issues after this appointment. I had to take days off work, see several professionals, spend hundreds of dollars and go through hell add to it the stress of it all. She also failed to gather the required information prior to my appointment

Hilary is the absolute best in the business. I can't recommend her highly enough. She really knows her stuff and is affordable too. I came to Hilary after seeing another tattoo removalist. She took one look and said your ink has been burned into your flesh by the previous removalist. He had the laser up so high he literally burnt the ink in. I have been going to Hillary for a couple of years now to remove my tattoo's. She has got to be the most knowledgable person in the industry. She was one of the first tattoo removalists in Melbourne and you certainly can tell she knows her stuff. Having very large tattoos Hilary has taken the time to educate me in removing them slowly in order to get my skin to exactly how it was before I had tattoos. It's a 10 start for me.

Hillary is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. I just wish I had found her sooner! I make the mistake of going to other services that didnt know what they were doing. I wish I'd gone to Hilary sooner! She takes the time to explain the process, is extremely knowledgeable, and she really cares about the health of your skin. My ink had been burned at another clinic prior to me seeing Hilary (if your tattoo bleeds and throbs long after a session, that is not right - please stop seeing that clinic!) Hilary is by far the best in the tattoo removal business. After a bad experience at another laser place years ago I was resigned to thinking that tattoo removal was extremely painful both physically & financially, and not for me.
