Welcome to Smudgeproof Inc - Permanent Makeup Clinic based in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern. I began my career as a cosmetic tattoo technician in 2002 and have since completed many advanced training courses and conferences locally and abroad.
I have specialised in this transformational 'in-demand' art form for almost 15 years and gained extensive industry experience throughout northern Italy between 2002 - 2012 as a freelance technician collaborating with medical facilities and beauty spas across the region.

Cosmetic tattooing is a rapidly growing sector of the beauty industry. Also known as micropigmentation, dermagraphics, semi-permanent makeup, permanent makeup and permanent cosmetics (USA). I choose Smudgeproof based on the ratings and reviews on here, and I was not disappointed! Barbara is all the things people mention; friendly, professional, a perfectionist and as patient as a saint! I had both eyeliner and lips coloured and I am stoked with the natural result she achieved (which is what I wanted.) Her attention to detail is second to none. 6 years ago I had the same done at a place in St Kilda and wasn’t nearly as happy with the result (or the extra $ I was charged). This won’t happen at Smudgeproof as Barbara is professional, seeks to understand exactly what you want and

I would recommend anyone wanting to have tattooed eyebrows or needing correction work to come and see Barbara. Barbara was AMAZING. She is meticulous and makes sure you see the progress as she goes. She caters very well to perfectionists! I had a bad experience with a different tattooist and she fixed mine up extremely well. People have asked me how I get my eyeliner so perfect and when I tell them it's permanent they can't believe it. Thank you so much Barbara. I've had my top eyeliner for over a year now and I'm still loving it 😄
