Where building permit is required, the Building Act 2011 gives us the power to assess plans and specifications for the proposed building work and to issue a Certificate of Design Compliance (CDC) confirming the building will conform to performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia if constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications.
