Services
The crisp white linen table cloths add to the semi fine dining ambience, setting the scene of the restaurant. From the sparkling water views to the mural of the breathtaking 'Ponte Vecchio' in Florence, Bella Vista sets the scene for a romantic, intimate dinner for two or a festive atmosphere for groups.
Our lunch menu is available Monday to Friday from 12pm until 2pm. Our full dinner menu will also be available during lunch. If you are interested in enjoying a lunch with us, bookings are preferred so that we can best cater to your needs. Sauted bacon strips, onions and mushrooms in a creamy sparkling white wine sauce with fettuccine.
Our takeaway menu is available from 12pm to 2pm Monday to Friday and 5:30pm until 9pm Monday to Saturday. Please note that our full dinner menu will not be available for takeaway during these times. Toasted Italian bread topped with thinly diced tomato, Spanish onion and basil in an extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.
We offer a range of banquets for both lunch and dinner. Banquets are an easy way to have a decadent Italian feast for 10 people and up at a lower cost. All of our banquets include complimentary tea and coffee and all can have an optional drinks package included. Aromatic and fruity on the nose with a light and textural palate of ripe pear, citrus and underscore of light spice and ginger. Aromas of fresh cut grass, passionfruit and gooseberry open a palate of tropical fruit layered with mineral and nettle flavours. An exciting, well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc.

Average to say the least, gnocchi Gorgonzola was bland as anything and basically everything we ordered was just so plain and flavourless.
Customer service was poor, I watched a girl drop an order on the ground and say 'woops' then pick it up. I am still not sure if that was my order.
Final note would be that the 'art' hanging on the wall was all crooked and sloppy.

I always lover going to Bella Vista - a favourite for many years. Tonight's dinner was no exception. The fish of the day - Dory - was the best fish meal I have ever tasted! Succulent fish, beautifully cooked ,with a magnificently flavoursome accompaniment.
My only complaint with Bella Vista is that as a vegetarian I always have to abandon my principles and eat fish. With climate change coming very fast we all need to lower our intake of meat and chicken, reduce the fish we eat to take the pressure off the planet. Seriously. I'd love to see what that great Bella Vista chef could do with plant based

We cant recommend Bella vista highly enough. 5 star experience everytime.
They have been opened for all of canberras lockdown period which meant delicious gourmet dinners at home!
The food is amazing along with the efficient and welcoming customer service. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Vegetarians are well catered for as well.
We keep coming back time and time again.

Our family celebrated a few birthdays at this restaurant recently and it was a most enjoyable evening. The deserts were divine - the tiramisu was possibly the best I have ever had - at least the best I can remember❣️Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The wagyu beef was good but not marbled like true wagyu. The John Dory ‘fish of the day’ was ‘melt in the mouth delicious! Looking forward to returning 4.5 ⭐️ from me!😊

Very good food and service in a neutral, if slightly dated, atmosphere. Had the gnocchi with sage and burnt butter sauce and couldn't complain. It was delicious. Wife had a pasta con gamberi (prawn) which was also a solid dish, with a seafood flavour infused into the creamy sauce. Both dishes were generous in size. Service was prompt and helpful although waiter was difficult to get hold of when we needed our bill - no dramas though, we found someone else.
Really my only nitpick about Bella Vista is that they could stand to lose all the Neon - that's a bit last century.

Had a 3-course meal. The quail entree was great. The lemon ricotta cake was ok. However, the Wagyu steak was a big disappointment. 1st attempt gave me a 101% cooked steak (I asked for medium rare). I told the waiter and asked for a replacement. The 2nd attempt took them a couple of minutes and I got a blue steak. Even the waiter was a bit shocked. 3rd attempt was just a quick re-cook of the steak from the 2nd time and it was really really salty. The sauce was terrible as well.
