Formerly known as Simon's Shoe Repairs, this small family business was established in 1987 by Simon Miller, at 500 Bourke Street behind National Bank building. When Simon first began working, he used hand tools for his shoe repairs. Slowly, as the business grew, he added machinery as well as additional services such as key cutting, leather care and bag repairs.

These Italian boots were worn to death by my wife for 10+ years (literally, they were headed for the bin).
As there was an emotional connection to these boots I looked everywhere to find someone to repair them, every time I took them into all the other cobblers in Melbourne, I was told the boots were too far gone and that they didn’t have the skill set to complete such a repair.
On a last ditch effort before they were to be thrown out, a friend of mine told me about Igor from Cobbleron.
I took them to show Igor, he looked at them; “worn out soles, yes. Leather and inner soles in great condition

Igor has been looking after all of my dry cleaning and shoe repairs for almost 10 years now. I also buy laces, shoe polish and even cuff links from him. Can’t fault the service - professional, attentive and reasonably priced. Open late too, which is handy. Overall, I’d say I’m a very satisfied customer.

Fantastic service. I dropped off a pair of riding boots, one of which had its sole come completely off. These came back to me a couple of days later looking shiny and new and I haven't stopped wearing them since. In addition to the boots, Igor also fixed insoles in a pair of my much loved Italian designer shoes which I was considering parting with, however the difference it has made is incredible as he has given them a new life. Amazing work, and highly recommended service.

I’m really happy with the workmanship done on some shoes which were damaged at another shoe repairer. Initially I requested for a half sole to be applied to
my new shoes at another place, they removed so much of the original leather sole and stuck the rubber sole on so badly I needed to get them redone. I did some research and found Cobbleron, who managed to fix them and are now back in great condition. I just wish I had gone here in the first place. Thank you.

Highly experienced and can be trusted with complicated repairs. I had a pair of old boots, which I was close to throwing out as they were cracking, allowing water to seep inside. Igor successfully replaced the entire soles, essentially creating a whole new pair of shoes! Now I can enjoy the boots for many more years!
