Our team of expert Practitioners are all passionate about optimising natural fertility, increasing IVF success rates and supporting women through all stages of their life cycle. We are Registered with the Chinese Medicicine Registration Board of Australia and have studied in both Australia and China completing a Bch App Sc(Chinese Med) and Bch App Sc (Human Biology) at RMIT University.
Acupuncture has been used to support women's health and general health over 2000 years. It involves inserting very fine, sterile, disposable needles on acupuncture. Acupuncture points are located on meridians which are channels of energy over the body. When blockages occur within these meridians people exhibit pain.
IVF and Infertility support is a special interest of ours. It is important to recognise that it takes time to effect change and this can vary depending on your own individual situation. Ideally we recommend that you spend 3 months implementing changes and treatment for the best outcome. We also support and work alongside Western medicine reproductive treatments to enable you to get the best outcome and also help manage side effects of treatment.
We understand that every pregnancy is unique and so are the issues that arise. At Elsternwick Acupuncture and Natural Fertility Clinic we will carefully assess all the physical, emotional and nutritional factors that might be affecting your pregnancy. After your evaluation we will develop an individual treatment plan designed to address your concerns and pattern of disharmony, helping you achieve your health goals.
When treating gynecological issues Western Medicine can often pose no answer or little relief for many conditions. Fortunately, having been practiced for over 2000 years, Chinese Medicine offers much insight into many women's health problems. Emma and the practice she has built at elsternwick acupuncture has played a key part in mine and my husbands fertility journey.
Emma created a safe, supportive and nurturing environment, providing acupuncture and TCM which I believe has played a successful role in us getting pregnant and through the first trimester (after recurring losses) complimented by our additional fertility treatment.

I've had muscle spindles in my right trap for years which has made my neck still and affected my training. Thought I'd try something new along with cupping. After the first session I felt incredibly relaxed and sleepy however I haven't had issues in my trapezius muscle for months. Highly recommend if stressed or even just to treat yourself and provide yourself some self care.

What a blessing to have found the Ladies here! I saw Dr Emma for 7 months throughout my IVF journey and then I saw both Dr Emma and Dr Catherine to help prepare for the birth of my little boy. Each visit my treatment was tailored to what I needed and I’d walk out feeling relaxed and invigorated. I’ve had my little boy now but I will definitely be returning when we start preparing for number 2! Thank you again Ladies!

I have been having acupuncture with Emma for ten years now. I can honestly say that she is a dedicated healer with great empathy. She is extremely thorough in her approach to all aspects of health. Emma has treated me for a range of health concerns: migraines, sciatica, jaw pain and preparation for labour. My children enjoy seeing Emma and both my husband and I have benefitted from her herbs. I've been getting treated by Emma for over 5 years now and will never go to another acupuncturist as Emma has been able to fix old issues and treat any new ones that arise. Even my adult daughter, who has a needle phobia, isn't scared to go to Emma anymore as her foot pain was fixed after a few months of pain. A couple of visits with Emma fixed her.
Emma is so friendly and you feel comfortable and relaxed the minute you walk in the door. She really does care and makes an effort to get to know you and helps with any issues you bring to her

Emma’s treatments are incredible!!! Each session is a little different and is tailored to suit what my body needs on that day. I always leave feeling calm and centred. Emma was a huge support on my fertility journey. Not only did her knowledge and skills help the process but she was a great listener and I so appreciated her encouragement and understanding.
