Concessional patients will reach the extended Medicare safety net (EMSN) in 6-8 consultations. Patients requiring longer term psychotherapy can have continuing unlimited consultations under Medicare.

During the 'working out period' we will begin to clarify the issues you want to work on in therapy. We will address any questions you have about what to expect in psychotherapy and how we will work together. Then it will be easier for you to begin to engage in and understand the process of psychotherapy.
I am an experienced psychologist offering the treatment of borderline personality disorder and complex PTSD. These related conditions are special interests of mine. If you have been diagnosed with complex PTSD you may have symptoms of anxiety and depression. In addition, you may suffer from traumatic memories including flashbacks, dissociative experiences, suicidal ideation and impulsive self-harm.

Mindfulness refers both to a state of mind and the psychological process of introspection or self-reflection. As a state of mind, mindfulness refers to you 'being present' or 'being in the moment'. As a psychological process, it refers to your use of introspection to observe and understand your lived experience & mental processes.
When you do personal psychotherapy we create conditions where you feel safe to notice, explore and to talk about whatever is on your mind. If your anxiety, depression or other condition is of recent onset or if you are in a crisis, you will benefit from brief therapy, generally 6-12 weekly counselling sessions.
