Weight is something that many Australians of all ages struggle with. More and more children and adults are becoming overweight or obese. The rates of obesity-related symptoms and diseases are skyrocketing, causing huge concern amongst public health professionals. For those who are struggling with weight loss, often the 'eat less, exercise more' mantra, and standard off-the-shelf diet plans, don't really work.
Nick has worked at Adelaide Baratric Centre - www.adelaidebariatriccentre.com.au. He has seen thousands of patients who have had gastric banding, bypass or sleeve gastrectomy surgery as well as intragastric balloons and endobarrier. If you are thinking of having bariatric surgery or want a dietitian to manage your nutrition post-surgery Nick Wray can help you.
Irritable bowel syndrome is a relatively common condition that affects approximately 20% of Australians. IBS, as it's usually referred to for short, is a condition of your digestive tract that can cause an array of uncomfortable symptoms such as recurring abdominal pain, diarrhoea or constipation, bloating and wind.
Whether you are a professional athlete or just serious and rigorous in your workout, your nutrition should be adjusted to suit your specific needs. This doesn't just mean getting the right number of kilojoules, or balancing protein, carbs and fat. It's about finding meal and snack options which also suit your practical needs, preferences, cooking abilities and more.
