Trudy Matthews established Scarborough Traditional Acupuncture Clinic in 1991. The Principal practitioner, Trudy Matthews, began her career in healing in Sydney where she studied to become a Registered Nurse. She was drawn to other methods of healing through her own journey of healing and personal growth, and was fortunate to be living in Perth when Edith Cowan University created a Post Graduate course in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Your initial consultation involves taking a history and pulse and tongue observation to form a diagnosis from a TCM perspective. This allows us to then select appropriate acupuncture point and herbal scripts for you individual needs and symptoms. Once the diagnosis is established and explained to you your treatments can begin.

Absolutely blown away by how amazing my acupuncture experience was. At first I was not sure, but anything to help my morning sickness.
I have just gotten home and I have no more nausea which I have had extremely badly for 2 weeks. No headache, no more bloat, my energy is back to normal and my husband said he can’t believe how my whole demeanour had changed the moment I walked out. This was almost instant.
I highly recommend this place! The staff lovely and Mel is who I saw for my acupuncture. Thank you so much for helping me!!! I feel like myself again

I had Ben as my acupuncturist and he was absolutely excellent. You could not meet a more knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, informative, understanding and skilled practitioner. He was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this practice and will be back in the future for further treatments. Ben and this practice really deserve 5 stars.
