Services
Future Health Medical and Dental Centre was established in 2012 to serve our community with a broad variety of health services. We're located in the heart of Moonee Ponds on Maribyrnong Road. Our lovely Victorian-style building was built in 1920 but is new and modern inside while feeling inviting and cosy.

Dr Sarmad Abuqlam graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne. He has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge working in rural and city practices over the years. He is meticulous about updating his knowledge and skills extensively to the most advanced technology and modern dentistry to ensure that he provides his patients with the highest standards of care.
Dr Anthony Michalopoulos completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne and has worked in the private sector in Melbourne since graduation. Anthony has a particular interest in oral surgery and implantology and has undertaken further training in Cape Town, South Africa and Heidelberg, Germany.
Dr Ghadir Bardan graduated from the University of Melbourne. He believes in a patient-centred approach to dental care and is dedicated to educating his patients and raising awareness about dental disease and its prevention. He places a strong emphasis on providing a positive experience for all patients and particularly enjoys treating children and instilling good oral hygiene habits from a young age.

I would like to thank the staff who provided such high care for my daughter when she received her COVID vaccinations. They could not have been more welcoming or lovely. Lucy fainted after her first vaccination and the response from the staff was extraordinary. What was even more amazing was that when we returned for her 2nd vaccination they remembered her, and put in place several things to make her feel more comfortable. Thank you, this was fabulous service and the clinic should be proud of the level of care they provide.

Amazing dental team at Future Health! Dr Sarmad is highly professional, personable, and very respectful of your comfort levels both during and after procedures. Another dentist I'd seen elsewhere had referred me to have my wisdom teeth removed surgically as they were so impacted, but Dr Sarmad was able to do the procedure in chair at half the cost. His gentle, kind nature helped put my nerves at ease, and he took the time to explain each step of the process, including costs and what to expect afterwards. I’ve had two appointments with Dr Anthony Michalopoulos in the past week and am already confident in his work.
The first was for my first checkup with this dental practice (moved after having poor dental work elsewhere). I can honestly say I have never in my life had such a thorough check up. He took pictures of my teeth to show me areas of concern rather than other clinics that blindly tell you what’s wrong and what’s urgently going to cost you hundreds/thousands of dollars. He was thoughtful of my current financial situation and helped me plan what was urgent and what could wait until

Dr Sarmad and his team are so wonderful and most of all caring. He takes the time to make the children comfortable and explains everything he does calmly. He always takes the time to listen and explains any findings or issues giving us various options available and is never in a hurry to rush us out. Cannot recommend him enough. Thank you!

I have been going to this medical centre for a few years the medical treatment is second to none. The doctor here actually listens to you and always helps.
DENTAL review: two weeks ago I visits the dentist here needing a bridge for my front tooth. On first visit the dentist explained all my options, I decided what I wanted and he took no hesitation to get started. Two weeks later I have a full smile again. VERY impressed with the treatment. Equally as good as the medical treatment. highly recommend.

These guys are amazing. I got my four wisdom teeth extracted on the same day. Dr Sarmad and his assistant Roxana were very professional and polite. They make me feel very comfortable during the whole process. Dr Sarmad explained in detail the procedure and how I have to look after myself after it.

Such a nice clinic! I’ve been seeing Dr Sarmad for my dental work for the last few years and have always left feeling so satisfied. His work is excellent and of very high standards! I’m always asking questions and he always has time and an answer for all my concerns. Highly recommend him if you want your teeth to be taken care of.

Haven’t been here in a few years, very disappointed they recently used contact details of mine provided for the purpose of medical test results to send out ads telling me Dr Hanan recommends I purchase their injectable cosmetic treatments. Seems very unethical for a doctor to be pushing cosmetic treatments for financial gain, using contact details provided for medical purposes only.
