Following a rigorous tendering process we were awarded the asbestos removal for the project on Toohey Rd, Salisbury. Irwin Asbestos Management Pty Ltd's role in this 2018 industrial renovation consisted of removal, disposal & decontamination of a 7500m2 super six asbestos roof, 900m2 asbestos vinyl tiles, bathroom strips and removal/disposal of all asbestos fire doors throughout tenancies.
Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral found in the earth's surface. It contains strong fibres that have excellent durability, fire resistance and insulating properties. Asbestos fibres are 50 to 200 times thinner than a human hair. These fibres can float in the air for a long time, can be invisible to the naked eye and can be breathed into the lungs.
An alarming number of buildings built prior to 1990 in Queensland still house dangerous asbestos fibres. Asbestos is highly hazardous and needs to be removed professionally and safely by a well-equipped experienced team. Asbestos exposure can lead to serious illness and death. Asbestos has been linked to lung cancer and other fatal medical conditions.

Dave and his team have just completed the removal of asbestos from our renovation project in Wavell Heights. I received a recommendation to use Irwin Asbestos from our builder and I could not be happier with the result. Irwin Asbestos Management were initially referred to me by a previous client who highly recommended them. Absolutely outstanding service. Very professional and informative throughout the entire process. But the most impressive part was the speed at which Dave and his team did the task. I expected our asbestos ceiling to be removed over a couple of days. Dave and his team completed the task in 7 hours flat.
