The only competition in an Enshin Karate Dojo is within the student, to try to be the best he or she can be. Enshin Karate is for anyone who is interested in learning and willing to work at it. The strategy and techniques are designed to be effective regardless of size, age or gender. An Enshin dojo is dedicated to the traditional values of courtesy, respect, and challenge as a way to develop and improve oneself.

From the days of his youth when he first began training, Kancho Ninomiya wanted to bring the true spirit and technique of real Karate to the world. After devoting himself for many years to reaching the top in competitive karate, Kancho Ninomiya won the All-Japan Tournament in 1978. As one of Japan's most popular champions, he realised that his life in karate was leading him beyond the mat of tournament competition.
Our Kinder Karate Program focuses on improving preschool-aged children's basic motor skills and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students at school, better listeners at home, and more ambitious towards the future.
Junior Classes are dedicated to children between the ages 6 to 12 years old. In these classes your child will learn the same techniques as the adults only at a slower pace. While training in Enshin karate your child will learn the basic principles of focus, discipline, respect, loyalty, commitment and self-defence.
It saw fighters from all over the world converge on Denver Colorado to compete in this prestigious event. The Sabaki Challenge is a fighter's tournament designed to embody the underlying purpose of karate training, whereby the repetition and refinement of one's technique, combined with constant effort, results in an inspired performance.

I was there for a short stint just to feel out multiple martial arts and see which one fits for me best and I must say this has good attention to detail in their forms and a good blend of judo and kyokushin... Best believe I will be back shortly for a membership!

My personal experience with this organization is that I trained, as a black belt, for their Sabaki Challenge tournament in Japan. During my training for Japan, the coaches told me that I should expect to fight a heavyweight woman; They told me that the bracket was set up in a way where I would probably fight a heavyweight. Mind you, I am a lightweight, and this is a knockout style tournament, with no padding or protection. On my flight to Japan, it was terrifying because I still had no idea if I would be fighting someone my own size, or fighting someone around twice my size. I didn’t find out

Absolutely the best school for kids, every one is extremely attentive and nice. The progress that we see with our oldest is truly amazing and our youngest will be joining him soon as well. Thursday 5pm class is great for the beginners. Trust me, you won’t regret it and your kids will love all the fun activities and games. Rex is the best!

I started Enshin as a kid and have continued on and off through out my adult life. Through my journey in karate I've learned to be more focused, to instill discipline in my daily life and to appreciate the quite reflection of mediation. Enshin is like a big family and I would recommend it to anyone looking to make self improvements.

The Enshin dojo is without question a true and traditionally minded school for martial arts and good health. Denver is lucky to be home to Kancho, Grandmaster and creator of Enshin style. Born of the hard combat of Kyukoshin karate and the skill and fluidity of Judo, Enshin is an incredibly rich and well rounded martial art. Kancho and his three talented sons give the school a family atmosphere, teaching deep skills in a way that is approachable, down to earth and very effective.
