Services
Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital has a range of inpatient rehabilitation programs coordinated by a Rehabilitation Physician or Geriatrician. Your rehabilitation team will include Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Nurses. Our team will assess your requirements and capabilities in regard to mobility, self-care and other activities of daily living.
Sessions at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital are aimed at regaining independence, maximising mobility and function, restoring confidence and improving quality of life. Sessions are 2 to 3 hours duration, 2 or 3 times per week. Most programs continue for 6 to 8 weeks. At the commencement of the program, goals will be discussed with the patient and rehabilitation team and reviewed throughout the program.
Hydrotherapy services are offered in our purpose built, non-chlorinated, heated hydrotherapy pool. An initial 30 minute assessment by a Physiotherapist is conducted in our consulting rooms prior to the first session. Pool access is available via steps or a seated hoist. Suitable for patients who are fully independent with mobility and exercises.
A highly qualified team of Rehabilitation Physicians, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians and Speech Pathologists. Group based exercise in our modern gym, exercise equipment and hydrotherapy in our non-chlorinated, heated pool. Cancer related fatigue is a common, debilitating problem for many cancer sufferers.

If you want a holiday camp fine..if you're going for Rehabilitation, forget it. As for the 'so called ' Rehabilitation Physician, I have never met a colder, more arrogant man in my life. Personality of a gnat! The left doesn't know what the right is doing, communication is below poor. A handful of the Admin Staff could do with a good lesson in manners.

Medical service was good a few years ago but now average at best,
Accounting side is atrocious. Finished up with a large pressure sore on the heel and it is still not quite healed.
Fought with them when they demanded the BUPA excess even though they knew it had been paid by QEH hospital. They were very aggressive in demanding payment and only just stop short of refusing treatment. Told them to forget payment, won't happen and it didn't. Resolved only by QEH and BUPA intervention, not Griffith.
Now caught in argument between BUPA and Griffith over an emergency ambulance charge where BUPA maintain

The Dr. In charge is the most indifferent , cold eyed, unemotional Dr. I have ever met in my long life of evaluating people.
No wonder staff are so on edge, stressed & looking over their shoulders .
His visits to patients are so brief as to be almost non existent . Clients & staff are worth far more when in such needful situations.

I have been an inpatient and outpatient at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital. I have been deeply impressed and appreciative of all the staff I have met during these times. The quality, skills and positive encouragement I have received from everyone in the physiotherapy department has been a tremendous support in working through pain and immobility after my operations. Other patients I shared my rehabilitation sessions with also expressed genuine appreciation of the excellent work the Physiotherapists had done in helping them through their recoveries. I have already, and will continue to, recommend

Utter joke, vegetarian food taste is putrid. Nurses overworked and stressed and so we the 'patients' get yelled at. Be-careful coming here, many others have agreed that they have also received the same treatment. Insurance covered private room but i had to wait, they changed me on the last day before having to leave. Amazing!! Don't come here. All they want is your money. Name and shame this ridiculous private hospital
