Stepping Out Performing Arts
At Stepnout Performing Arts we believe that a great performer is made from more than learning a few steps. Our studio provides a welcoming space where young dancers truly flourish. They may be a gifted dancer or singer, a passionate performer, an energizer-bunny, a fit athlete, an eager learner or a team player.

Whatever they bring to the Stepnout studio, we work hard to appreciate and extend each student to the best of their ability. With classes in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop and vocal arts, our talented array of teachers cater to pre-schoolers, primary-school age, teens, elite performers, and adults.
Services
Passionate about early childhood education and junior dance, our founder Liz started the Stepnout journey as "First Steps", with only the babies coming through our preschool program. As these students thrived, we took on school-age children and eventually teens and adults. Liz saw a need in the local area for a one-stop-shop dance studio, where dancers of all ages and abilities were welcome.
We're incredibly proud of our diverse and inspirational team at Stepnout Performing Arts. Each teacher brings their own individual talent, years of experience and a huge enthusiasm for dance. Our goal is to build your confidence in a caring and stress-free way, so you can learn to love dance as much as we do!
As such, we support them in developing self-esteem, resilience, teamwork and a growth mindset. This means, they'll embrace challenges through personal goal-setting. The chance to perform introduces children to the importance of self-expression, teamwork, creativity, fitness, mental health, connection and perseverance.
Stepnout Performing Arts prides itself on providing a warm and encouraging environment where students can learn new skills and discover new passions. For younger children, we have classes to suit different confidence levels, while for older children we have two distinct performance schools. And yes, we have plenty of great dance and performance classes for boys as well as girls.
Does your toddler love to move? Whenever the latest Katy Perry track comes on, they're bouncing in the high chair or bobbing in front of the TV? Our toddler classes are friendly, easy-going lessons that teach your mini-me to enjoy moving to music, interacting with other children and generally have fun!

My daughter has been at Stepnout since she was 18months old, now at 8 almost 9 it is her second home.
The programs developing the whole child not just their dancing ability. Her resilience, persistence and dance ability are a testimonial to the school, it’s Principal Liz and her team.

Our daughter has blossomed in one year under the instruction of the teachers. The club administration is on the ball and our daughter comes home enthusiastic, fullfilled and eager for the next class. The school is friendly and promotes a kind community of young people.

From the outside, this dance school may look fun and inviting to be apart of and claim to have high family values however this is definitely not the case when you truly see behind the scenes. The most unprofessional school I have been apart of. Be prepared for a 3 and a half hour end of year concert! Strong dance technique is not taught or a priority and therefore students are not pushed to their potential. Staff can be very unprofessional.

If you're looking for a dance school that has a sense of community and values each child then this is the school for you. The teachers are all very good and each child is made to feel special regardless of level of skill. Great dancing too!
