In 1946, two young men, Jack Edge and Roy Slattery, returned home from serving their country in World War II to find there was little work available in Adelaide. With a passion for service, the pair naturally fell into an industry based on exactly that - the taxi industry.

Critical: Punctuality
We booked a cab for 6 am for hubby to go be at a hospital by 6.30am. Taxi hadn't arrived by 6.13 am, so I had to drive him to hospital. I have used Suburbans for many years off and on, and never had any problems before. So disappointed this time. "Not happy Jan". I would like a reply from Suburbans please!

On Thursday 13 Jan 2022 I called another company to BOOK a cab to take me for a medical test. At no stage was I asked WHEN for and instead was told the cab would arrive in 3 minutes. Bad luck it was 90 minutes before the time I wanted. I tried to cancel as advised but nothing was done therefore I was unable to be available when the taxi arrives. So I called SUBURBAN, was asked what time, and the cab duly arrived at/near the time I requested. Therefore I recommend Suburban because you speak with an operator, not just a message machine. Used for an airport trip. Asked if any surcharges and was told no but I've I tried to pay by card I got smashed by a ridiculous charge. Driver went off! Screaming at me when I questioned it with my kids in the car!

Tried to book through the app as my car had broken down, no cars where available causing me to wait nearly an hour just for no car to show. Unfortunately couldn’t use Uber as the roadside assistance company don’t use them.
If you are looking to book a taxi I would highly suggest booking several hours ahead.

I rang the company up to order a maxi taxi for a group of people from a winery in Mclarenvale, the operator was very kind and said if we aren't able to get a maxi we will send 2 cars which was fine. A short time after i booked i rang the company to cancel as we did not require the taxis anymore, so the cancellation was confirmed as successful on the phone. Another short time after i cancelled 1 normal taxi arrived (I assume maybe they sent 2 normal taxi's but it only cancelled on 1 of them), which i explained to him i had just cancelled and we did not require his service... which he then became

I'm super unimpressed with the service I received on the 21/8/2021. I tried to do the "ethical" thing and not commute with a popular competitor, however, these guys were $21 more expenses for the exact same trip.... Please remind me why we support taxis when they Rip us off this way?????? SUPER UNIMPRESSED. driver was also texting while driving. Not happy or safe.
