I started training in martial arts in the late 1970's, studying Judo under Sensei Terry Haplin whilst attending Kedron State High School. In 1991 I restarted training, studying the 'Goju Ryu' style mentored by Sensei Barry Lineham, whilst living in Bombala, NSW (a small town on the Snowy Mountains plateau).
From 2005 - 2006, I studied the 'Muso Chishin Ryu Heiho' style, training with Shihan Keith Seal of "Bushin Kan Karate" whilst living in North Carolina, USA. In 2006 returning to Australia, rejoining the 'Yamaguchi' style until 2007 where I joining 'Goju Ryu Karatedo Seiwakai' and became a member of the Japan Karate Federation Goju Kai.
