We Pat and Mick are originally from the UK, and have worked around Australia ending up in Grafton. With a taste for heritage homes, we saw that the Rosary was for sale and decided to make it our own. The Rosary Grafton is a genuine 1905 heritage building, acknowledged as having historical significance by the NSW Heritage Council.

It is listed in Grafton and Clarence River District Booklet as one of Grafton's finest homes. It was built in 1905 by the Hockey family, a local shoe store proprietor running Hockey's Boot factory. George Hockey was an avid rose grower, and established his rose garden early in the history of this residence.

Absolutely brilliant!
Warm welcoming by the owners to a nice well maintained classic style house. Rooms equipped with small kitchen and basic needs for breakfast.
Beds are super comfy.
Hard to describe how good I have felt coming here.
Totally recommended with no doubt.

Quiet street, beautifully restored old house, self contained suite, spotlessly clean, dark polished floorboards. Soft bed. Generous kind hosts. Lovely garden. I stayed an extra night. Fabulous.

Lovely old house. Everything in our room was cheap. Doona was paper thin & not a bit warm. There was a ceap polyester blanket in the cupboard which had no warmth. Luckily I had my hot water bottle.
Even the tissues & toilet paper were cheap.
Breakfast consisted of two boxes of cereal & cheap supermarket bread & muffins & juice in the fridge.
Water pressure in the shower was almost non existent!
Won't be staying here again!

Arrived very, very late & were still greated with a big smile. The room was spotless with everything you need, the fridge & microwave made everything easy. The main reason I chose The Rosary is because they are pet friendly. Big swimming pool & guest area with BBQ. Free WiFi was also something that made our stay very comfortable.

The Rosary is a great Bed and Breakfast with wonderful hosts, John and Barbara. I love the period furniture and decor, and the fact that it is quiet, even though it is near the town centre.
