Contact lenses provide an ideal alternative to glasses. Glasses work well, but sometimes they are simply not practical for many sports, recreational activities or socialising. We fit contact lenses, provide ongoing advice and take responsibility for your follow-up care. A discussion about your lifestyle and what you would like contact lenses to do for you.
Vision is your child's most precious sense. A child will not necessarily complain of a vision problem as they assume that what they see and interpret is 'normal'. Australian population studies have suggested that as many as 20% of children will experience vision problems at some point during their education and that more than a half of these children are not diagnosed because they have not had an eye examination.
Our optometrists take great pride in providing comprehensive eye examinations utilising state-of-the-art equipment. Checking your vision to see if you require glasses or contact lenses is just part of a comprehensive eye examination. We also look for potential eye health problems, like glaucoma, macula degeneration and cataracts, as well as monitor the eye related complications of general health problems, like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Astigmatism is often misunderstood. Astigmatism is a refractive error, like short and long-sightedness. This means that it is not an eye disease or a health problem per se, but rather an issue with how light is focused within the eye. Eyes with astigmatism fail to gather light into a single focal point on the retina, which is essential for a clear line of vision.

The service is efficient and in good spirit. My lenses are fantastic. The clarity is perfect. Couldn't wish for more. " I should have come here in the first place" instead of going to that 'other place' that offers the world but doesn't deliver.

15 months ago i purchased new lenses which had to be changed after recent glaucoma surgery. It was a blessing, as I had to wait a few months for the surgery to settle, which left my site blury. The new lenses are first class. The clarity is first class, As is the service from Gavin and Clare who I dealt with this time. I can highly recommend
