Our boutique and home has been in the heart of Carlton, Melbourne for over 45 years and we continue to locally create and manufacture casual clothing under our idyl brand - all made in Melbourne (even our swing tags!). Our ethos is based on an enthusiasm for natural, breathable and comfortable fabrics and we work with natural quality fibres for easy wear and easy care.

Our collections highlight pure linens, cottons and fine wools and our timeless styles are designed to complement all shapes and sizes. Committed to supporting local and ethical trade practices as part of the 'slow fashion' movement, we work with many other local Melbourne and Australian businesses in creating our garments.

We create our idyl garments to complement each other and other pieces in your wardrobe with easy wear and easy care front of mind. Our sunset hilo top is crafted in a very cool and breathable cotton and ramie blend and is cut to a flattering A-line silhouette. Cool and classy but above all, comfortable.

Not sure what size to buy? Always double check your key body measurements using the size chart provided underneath each style description. The size chart is included here. Most of our idyl styles are relaxed fits and the measurements we provide are a guide only. If you are not sure, we are happy to guide you and help over the phone.

Fantastic range of genuine Panama hats! Excellent customer care and service too! I ordered one for my husband and he is so happy with it; then I ordered another one for my son as well! Delivery was fast from Melbourne to Sydney despite the lockdown challenges. Strongly recommend them!

I am still wearing T-shirts bought here at least 8 years ago. Great quality and value.
I have just bought a short sleeved linen dress online which has matched my expectations, and am sure it will be worn for almost as long.
