The customer service is great - really friendly staff. That said, the food was nothing special. The lasagna was quite bland and the fries in the steak frites were cut way too thin so they ended up being more like chips. Fries are one of those things that are almost always satisfying so it was disappointing that the restaurant missed the mark on them.

Have had great experiences at Marzitelli for both brunch and dinner. At brunch we were served fresh complimentary muffins with our coffee. Dinner is casual fine dining with fresh cutlery at each course. The Magic Mushrooms and Caprese are great. Their prices are hard to beat and the atmosphere is cozy

My partner and I came to share our anniversary here. The food was phenomenal and the service was like no other. Just when we thought that it couldn’t get any better the owner gave us and the other guests in the restaurant a personal show on the piano. Such a hidden gem and this is now my favourite place, in just one visit.

We decided to try this place for an anniversary dinner and evening out! Wow! Definitely not a disappointment at all! The atmosphere, The food, The service and live entertainment was such a amazing experience.
Colin was our server and he made it a point to glance over at our table and check in with us regularly to make sure everything was good or needed anything. True and genuine service. Highly recommend him as your server. Overall all the staff were pleasant and greeted you and said goodbye when leaving. We went to Marzitelli's last week as a group of 10 and I must say, this place went over and beyond. The food was TRULY amazing, taste buds exploded! The shrimp is completely out of this world and my filet mignon was to die for. The waitress was so nice the chef even came out and played piano for the entire place, this place just completed a perfect evening of dining with friends. Thank you, and you can expect us to be back again and again.

Long time resident of Golden Triangle here, I frequent many of the restaurants on Elgin, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It has the feel of a tourist trap, pretentious and the food was mostly disappointing. I'll take it from the top (see photo)
- Stiegl Radler - Excellent, on of my favourites
- Processco by the glass, was good, however the Sauvignon Blanc (not on bill) was corked and had to be sent back
- Calamari Fritti - squid were very small, had the appearance of 'popcorn' chicken bits, almost so small that they weren't even rings anymore and there was very little squid underneath breading

Just tried Marzitelli here in Ottawa, which took over the space above the Standard where the Cross pub was on Elgin. My friend and I were seated in the lounge area, which could probably comfortably sit 8 people once restrictions lift. Lovely atmosphere and great for peoplewatching! But best of all was the service; super friendly and kind. Also enjoyed some delicious bruschetta made by the owner. Looking forward to checking out the live music when it starts up!
