Great atmosphere and beautiful view of the sunset. Service was fast and very friendly.
Food was good and such a big portion.
Will visit again.

Very disappointed. Went to Mia Cucina after booking asked if voucher valid for a free bottle of wine which I was told yes. There was no expiry date on voucher. When arrived I was told not valid I said person… who took booking had approved which was manager only to be told on night expired I asked if we could have complementary wine for two the manager said I will see what I can do to no avail. Then we waited ages for someone to take drink orders and because they were so slow at that we thought we better order on tray an main as taking so long. Then we got garlic bread hadn’t finished

Came here 28/12/21 for some breakfast. Due to it being holidays we had to pay a 15% surcharge.
I didn't have a problem with that, except we waited an hour for our food and it made our brekkie expensive.
Granted it was busy but there appeared to be enough sstaff. I would've rated a two for service and surcharge but gave a three as the food was ok

My biggest regret is that I should have come here to dine a very long time ago. The very best of Italian cuisine, complimented by the most attentive staff, in scenic harbour setting for atmosphere.

Great place to relax and enjoy a meal overlooking the boat harbor.
Staff and friendly and very helpful with choosing out meal.
Be warned, they have large servings.

While my friends had a great meals worthy of their price tags and true to description my "Garlic Prawns" were full of chilli and I could not even taste the prawns... not great for the high price and no chilli mentioned on the menu - GAMBERETTI all’AGLIO (C) $42 Large locally caught tiger prawns served sizzling with white wine, herbs, oven roasted garlic & Turkish bread. About 10 prawns and 3 bits of bread, left dissapointed after that meal.

We went there for our daughter’s 18th with a couple of her friends during the week. Very accommodating, quick service and they even added candles to the birthday cake we bought. The food was excellent and good size portions. We would definitely go again.

Lovely, happy experience with family and friends. The waitress was accommodating, knowledgeable and so patient with the ‘kids’ table. Definitely will be going back again.

Slightly pricier than I’m used to but I guess you’re also paying for the view.
If the tomato base sauce used for the pescatore was an indication of how the other dishes are, I will definitely be back to try their chilli mussels and other tomato-based dishes - it’s really good!
Hearty and comforting Italian food with the smoky taste of home cooking, paired with amazing views makes this a fantastic place to take a lunch date. Finish off with a walk in the sun for a delightful afternoon, and lots of parking around so it’s perfect for a weekend visit!

Can’t recommend this place highly enough, everything about this place is amazing. Food is simple but exquisite and the view ….. well what can you say. A definite must go to place 😊

It was a last minute decision to head here for a late Tuesday night dinner. So happy we did it because our meals were EXCEPTIONAL! The chef was happy to make a dietary tweak to the Spaghetti Pescatore and it was perfecto. Lovely friendly staff and fresh seafood will have us back over and over again.

Very enjoyable Italian food! It’s a smaller menu than a lot of Italian places but I feel that makes it more likely for the dishes to be well executed and consistent. I was there for a birthday party with about 10 people and all the food and drinks came out at a reasonable time and close together. Wait staff was helpful and attentive. One person actually asked compliments to be paid to the chef. Big portions! I had my pasta dish over 3 meals.

I have been to Mia Cucina quite a few times and had a great meal, my recent visit was not so. I ordered the scallopini, I was a little doubtful about it, as I have never had it with pork I was right in my doubts. The pork was a thick slice covered with a thick herb cream dressing. I did not enjoy it at all. I was surprised as to how this restaurant with a reputation for good Italian food could present a dish like this. Very disappointing

So move aside what you've heard this place is great. It's got waterfront views of the harbour, scrumptious starters, filling mains, and delicious deserts. We had a group of 8 adults and 4 kids. No one was unsatisfied. The hardest part was deciding on desert. The wait staff was kind and accomodating and knew how to tend with a group. They even accommodated a three way bill split so my mate and I could pay for our children separately.

Met up with travelling family thought lunch was a worthy challenge on this little spot, we use to be regular dinners when they where on the main boardwalk before the reno's some years ago. Table service excellent, surrounds brilliant, cleanliness borderline spotless, the place seemed to be quiet busy, my sister ordered Squid etc, I ordered a pizza ( oh so sorry I did), meals arrived after a borderline acceptable wait. We have been to this restaurant a few times over the years won't go into what it was like as maybe it would not be far on new owners.
we ventured down to have lunch around 1.30 pm on the weekend to try this restaurant again
let me start with the food ,we had a pasta seafood which was well cooked seafood and the pasta was cooked just on the bite, sauce was not too much and just right ,no need to season as was well done, we also ordered the calamari ,well cooked and tender with a nice small dressed salad on side, my only dislike was it was seasoned with some shake tin seasoning powder which

Great location, good menu and excellent service. The wood fired pizzas were a huge hit with the kids! There was a special on a lovely gin and tonic for $10, too. I had the spaghetti del pescatore which was packed with fresh ingredients.

Went to a Melbourne cup lunch held at this Restaurant and for only $70 what fantastic day from start to finish it started 10.30 -3pm on sitting we were given free raffle tickets I free glass champagne they had a booky in the conner to take your bets free give away prizes drawn throughout day food wise have to say the 3 course meal Absolutely Fabulous the meal serves huge some of ladies couldnt finish there meals and asked for doggie bag Food menu wise we were able to choose what we wanted To eat We were also given food platters on our table before meals commenced meals

I recently took an older friend to lunch here and the food was great and plentiful.
They now have a lunchtime special for $15 - $20 plus $5 for a glass of wine every day except Sunday.

The last time I had been here was a year or two ago and I found it expensive and quite ordinary apart from the amazing view.

I have only been here once and it was for an early lunch. It was a beautiful day so that obviously affected any objectivess I woul have, especally when you're sitting in the marina in Hillary's.
For me, it was quite a nice lunch. I had the smoke salmon, ricotta and and rocket cuscinetti which was light and delicious. The only reason I am a little cagey is beacuse I have heard some friends compain about the dinners here but I can only reflect on what I had and it was a nice relaxed experience with some nice food.

With its stunning view of Hillarys Boat Harbour and the Breakwater across the way, Mia Cucina is an excellent place to sit and enjoy this section of the coast, regardless of whether one is taking in a full meal or merely enjoying a coffee. The interior design is as accomplished as the view is appealing and the staff are warm and welcoming, as well as good at what they do.
