Services
We provide a wide range of early education and care services and community services in the ACT and Capital region. We pride ourselves on the positive contribution we make to the lives of members of our community. At Communities@Work, people are at the heart of everything we do.

We go above and beyond in delivering high-quality services that support positive educational outcomes, assist in alleviating hardship, enhance quality of life, and lead to positive social change.Communities@Work is a public company limited by guarantee and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Tuggeranong Family Action formed to meet the child care needs of the Tuggeranong Valley. Tuggeranong Community Service also formed to provide community services for the elderly, transport for the disadvantaged, referrals and advocacy. Tuggeranong Community Centre opened on the shores of Lake Tuggeranong as a dedicated base for the Tuggeranong Community Service.
We are the largest children's services (early childhood education and care) provider in Canberra and the surrounding ACT region. We operate multiple high-quality child care and education centres, out of school hours care - before and after school care services and school holiday programs, as well as support self-employed family day care and in-home care educators.
Will pay for four medical scripts under our crisis support program and ensure people can continue to get their essential medication. Will pay for two free shops in the community pantry, putting food on the table for someone in need for at least two weeks. Will give someone in need four free shops in our community pantry to shop for food and essential items for at least a month.
Together with the Board, I am delighted to introduce Communities@Work's 2019 - 2022 Strategic Plan. It sets out the priorities and themes for the organisation over the next three years. In our new Strategic Plan, we embrace ongoing inquiry, reflection and action with an eye toward future goals and the journey to excellence and positive social change.

Don’t enrol a child with additional needs to their Oshc services as you get bullied until you take your child out. Also I feel for the lovely volunteers in the food bank as food is half rotten.

My son has been attending his centre now for just over a year and we couldn't be happier!
Cherie (the director) from point of contact has been wonderful to converse with and the educators really took the time to get to know my son and how to work with his big emotions.
We have enrolled our daughter for next year and are very excited to spend a few more years at the centre.

Our family loves Richardson Child Care & Education Centre. We've been attending since 2014 and find the educators to be so caring and dedicated. The educators design creative activities to engage and nurture the children and work with the family to build strong relationships. Our kids who have left the centre still enjoy going back to see the educators when we pick up our youngest.

Greenway Child Care and Education Centre has the most beautiful staff who treat the children like their own family. My boys absolutely thrive in their care and we would be lost without them.

My son loves his "School". He has made some amazing friendships. The educators at his daycare have taken his developmental needs for support, and factored this into his learning each day! We are beyond happy with our choice.

I moved to Canberra 4 months ago and got a job at Communities@Work as an educator. The Centre is awesome! The team I work with are friendly and competent. Also, they have various cultural backgrounds, just like me, which makes the experience even more enriching! My babies are sooo cute and smart too! I love working there! : )

I went to an afternoon tea for volunteers at Communities @ Work a few months ago and hardly any one spoke to me except for one nice young man but apart from him I was completely ignored. I only volunteered at Communities @ Work for a short time. I left because I felt stressed, the conditions were "freezing" and I felt under appreciated.
