SOUTHERN CROSS DESIGN and DRAFTING began from humble beginnings in Maroochydore on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Owner and licensee Ted Larson has been around construction all his life. Starting off in the family business Larson Brothers Contractors in Mackay.
After settling on the Sunshine Coast in 1988 and raising two boys Southern Cross Design was established in 2001 and soon found a niche in mid-range Custom Home Design, and Small to Medium commercial projects.With our team on hand our point of difference is flexibility of service and delivery. Every project is different and can range from a simple carport extension right through to high rise commercial and residential.

Firstly "Preliminary Plans" are developed from the design sketches. At this time the design comes to life in the form of a 3d Model where the visual and special aspects of the project can be assessed accurately and modified accordingly. Technical requirements such as building setbacks and height restrictions can then be assessed.
