Welcome to the large country garden and Bed & Breakfast Cottage Accommodation of Walter and Kay Duncan at "The Heritage Garden". We would like to entice you into our garden and maybe stay a night or two in our delightfully restored Heritage Cottage, and wander dreamily through our rose gardens. We are situated on a scenic route between Sevenhill and Clare in the Clare Valley, one of South Australia's best kept secrets.

Services
He was born in Adelaide to a mother (Rose) who adored roses! How could he not be enthused? He joined the 'Rose Society of South Australia Inc' in 1958 and was elected to the committee in 1962, was Vice President in 1964 and President from 1972 to 1974. Walter has been an honorary Life Member since 1978 and has enjoyed growing and exhibiting modern and old world roses for 50 years.
We are in the final stages of putting together a gorgeous coffee table book to keep for a lifetime. It is the story of Walters' love of roses and his journey to create his dream garden with Kay beside him. Its also covers family history, Walter's achievements and re-building our home from Walter's Parents' bluestone home relocated from Adelaide.
We have both put many hours into planning, planting and maintaining this beautiful space of ours. However Walter is the key ingredient to its success. He is the mainstay behind the whole place. It is Walter who watches the needs and seasons of the Heritage Garden and guides us all gently in its upkeep.
Summer is a difficult time for us. There is the constant watering and the constant monitoring of the garden to keep it as good as possible. It is tiring and then there is often the threat of fires, so we have to keep nearby and keep a close eye on the environment. But it is still rewarding. You can't beat a BBQ on our back verandah with friends on a warm night.
Winner of the 2004 Clare Valley Tourism Award for the most highly commended accommodation in the New Tourism Category 2005. The Heritage Cottage Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is located in the beautiful Clare Valley. We have meticulously restored the original 140 yr old cottage which was once lived in by Agnes and Polly McCord and their brother Jack.

Such a beautiful place.
You wouldn't know it exists.
But I'm extremely glad I took my tour group there.
No I can share my experience.
We arrived for morning tea, toured the grounds after and then had lunch.
There is a B&B also so you can relax in the tranquillity of the area.
It'd be great too for a wedding as the grounds are huge.
I definitely recommend coming here.
