Back in 1992, KV Auto Electrics was established in Montrose, Victoria from a desire to provide top-quality auto electrical servicing and repairs to locals in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs. Owner David has been in the trade since 1985. With a passion for cars from a young age, he started restoring cars and racing Formula Vee and Rally cars, which eventually gave way to a keen interest in vintage and classic cars.
Check out our Gallery to see some of the vintage cars we have worked on, and for more detailed photos of the process check out our Projects. Today we are still as committed as ever to exceptional quality and great customer service. From our early years in Montrose, through to our factory on Canterbury Road in Kilsyth, and now to the present day, we continue to bring you exceptional quality and experience on a large range of vehicles.

Services
The manufacture of a wiring loom can be a timely job, as they have to be designed according to electrical and geometric requirements. A plan or diagram is made for the assembly preparation, and then the wires are cut, fitting the ends with the required terminals or connectors.
Some vintage vehicles have fuse panels and connectors that are no longer available to purchase, so the originals have to be restored and rust removed to allow for proper electrical conductivity. If the loom is being made in the car, it will be mapped out as the job is progressing. Some looms are made outside of the vehicle, and in this case, a 3.6 metre mapping board is used for the assembly of the cables into the complete loom.

A complete new wiring loom for this 1946 Vauxhall. We manufactured a complete custom wiring loom from scratch directly in this unique F600 Ratrod. It's sitting on a very modified Ford Explorer chassis, with a Cummins turbo diesel. An amazing work of art, designed to look aged. This genuine U.S survivor is in completely original condition.
