The Sunshine Coast Hinterland Region is 90 kilometres north of Brisbane, surrounding the Blackall Range. Nearby towns include Witta, Maleny, Landsborough, Montville, Peachester, Palmwoods and Hunchy. Many places of geographical significance surround our area and include the Glass House Mountains and Baroon Pocket Dam.

Lovely beautiful relaxing break away from Brisbane. We stayed at the holiday house with our kids and dog. Wifi was down but was fixed within 48 hours. We couldn’t use the pool as the weather was awful ( can’t be helped) but I managed to go on many country walks. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a get away.

We stayed 4 nights and decided to extend our stay to 6 nights.
We stayed in the chalet with 2 adults and 4 children which was a novelty for the kids to experience a two story house.
The chalet has everything you need, although a little love sprinkled into it wouldn't go a miss but I suspect the new owners will already have plans for this.
It's has aircon and fans downstairs and aircons upstairs. Nespresso coffee for those magic mornings to spend on the deck watching the wallabies come with their young to nibble on the lush bushland.
The outside firepit is perfect! The generous sized salt water

The worst people (owners) we ever communicated with. We booked accommodation 3 weeks before our date,Thursday and Friday and 4 days before our days , my husband called the owners to inform them that he is stuck in WA because of Covid 19 and unfortunately can't come back to Qld. He asked the owners to move our 2 nights to another time or for… voucher to use one day in the future. He didn't ask for money back, just for understanding of his situation because we paid $560 for two nights ( not even a weekend). Their answer was Sorry. SORRY??? We lost 560 dollars for What???? For a 2 night getaway for 2 couples we booked the Cathedral for Sun/Mon nights. Was very quiet and relaxing sitting under the outside covered area. Lots of showers around cooled our sitting around the fire thoughts. As others have said below, clean, well laid out with everything you would need, contact-less booking in and leaving was a breeze. Only critiques is main bedroom plenty of room while second queen room was a bit tight with travel bags. Other thought was for the 3 single beds in the sleep out during the night if anyone wanted the toilet they would have to go through one of the bedrooms

I have stayed or babysat at most of the Jacaranda Cottages and highly recommend them , particularly as there is a wide variety of accommodation venues to cater for all different needs, and it is pet friendly. However I recently stayed in the Whipbird cabin which I would not recommend for a mature, single woman. The access path is somewhat risky… due to a loose stoned path; to reach the DVD player to load a DVD you have to stand on a chair; and the combined spa/shower is very high making it risky to enter and exit. We had a wonderful short family break in this idyllic peaceful setting! Our family group had the Cathedral Cottage and the Farmhouse Cottage which are side by side and have easy access to each other, which was ideal for us, enabling much precious family time all together. Cottages are comfortable, spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Contactless check-in and out were easy. Enjoyed the birds, and wallabies by the watering hole. Just a short pretty drive in to Maleny for supplies when needed. Absolutely loved it!

We stayed in The Lodge. Easy check-in experience, clean, well appointed, absolutely gorgeous setting in well maintained, leafy, green gardens. The fire pit is a great addition and we lit it both nights. It's close enough yet far enough from Maleny and the hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast and the price is just right. Only two very small things - the bed in the second bedroom needs some oil (it's super squeaky :) ) and the ceiling fans in the living area didn't seem to be working but that could just be pilot error. Otherwise - thoroughly recommend this one!

Just had a wonderful family getaway at the Holiday House - everything was completely fabulous! Although set in a beautifully peaceful location it was just a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen is exceptionally well appointed and the entire house spotlessly clean - thank you Karen - we'll be back for sure!

Lovely little hidden gem and great for the whole family. Stayed in The Lodge which was perfect for our family of 4 and had everything we need. Modern, clean, and private setup. I would highly recommend it to anyone with or without kids or even going as a group and booking one of the bigger homes or multiple cottages. We'll definitely go again!
