After 26 years of being a hairdresser it was time to bake. My love and passion for creating the perfect tasting and perfect looking cake was too overwhelming and I had to hang my scissors. Achieving success at the Adelaide and Perth Royal Show Cookery competitions has inspired me to make baking and cake design my life's work.
A wedding cake, a birthday cake, a celebration cake of any kind must be bursting with flavour. It's all about the quality of the ingredients and the intensity of their flavour. I make all my own flavourings from vanilla extract and lemon curd to raspberry coulis to coconut cream. Real authentic flavours that deliver on taste.
Sculpted and carved birthday cakes are in a league of their own. Each cake is a one-off design and priced according to the time and level of difficulty needed during the creative process. The design can be collaborative with you or you can give me creative licence to create something deliciously spectacular.
The earlier the better. During peak wedding season (October- April) season we start taking wedding cake orders up to a 18 months in advance. So to avoid any disappointment book in early for your chosen date. For celebration cakes, 4 weeks in advance is recommended. Contact us and we may be able to accommodate you in a short time frame.
A complimentary tasting and consultation where you can sample some delicious cake combinations in a relaxed atmosphere. This obligation free service will also give me a chance to get a sense of your individual wedding style. Be sure to bring along colour and fabric swatches, your invitation sample, pictures, floral concepts and anything else that gives inspiration to what you would like to have on your special day.

Nadia made our wedding cake. It was the best cake we have eaten at any wedding. We gave Nadia free reign on the design too - best decision we made. The entire design was stunning and captured what we wanted perfectly. Our guests also said the cake was amazing and we would highly recommend Cake Date to other couples, or any other occasion. Thank you Nadia for the incredible cake you made for my mum’s 70th birthday. The cake was individually designed for my mum’s style and it was what I had envisioned, but way better! It was also the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had; the flavour was amazing, and not too sweet. Everyone loved it. Highly recommend.

So lucky this is my local cake place! Everything in the cake cabinet is exceptionally delicious and great value for money. The girls see me coming and get out a box or two ready for my bulk purchases. I love how the cupcakes and cakes have a little surprise core inside and often the cupcakes have a macaron on top of the frosting.
Nadia has also made many flavoured cakes for me for birthdays, gifts etc and they've always been professionally decorated, made on time (even when I've not given alot of notice) and tasted delicious!
Coffee is also on point and tastes even better when it's free muffin

The cake Nadia made for my daughter’s first birthday looked so lovely and not to mention the amazing taste! The sponge was moist and the fillings to die for. I have also ordered some cupcakes from her to bring… to work and my work colleagues really enjoyed them. Highly recommend and will definitely be ordering cakes/cupcakes again from Cake Date.

My husband Solomon and I used Cake Date for our wedding on the 28th of April 2021. Nadia was fantastic to work with – offering a Cake Date to tease out all the details of what we needed and of course providing us with a delicious taste test. Nadia literally swooped in and saved the day for our wedding cake. After our previous vendor had changed management causing countless complications with our wedding cake, Nadia offered her services with incredibly short notice and make us the most incredible red velvet wedding cake with caramel and vanilla cupcakes. Nadia and her team are always so incredible. I have been a regular for my morning coffee from the girls for almost a year (and it never disappoints!) but this weekend was the first time we have ordered a cake. Unfortunately due to lockdown we were no longer having a party but we still enjoyed a delicious peanut butter, chocolate cake with… caramelised popcorn! Along with some amazing chocolate cupcakes with a beautiful berry compote in the middle. She was so lovely and made them to suit our dietary requirements so we could join in the cake eating too! Everything Nadia and Catherine make at Cake Date has been delicious. I love that some of her cupcakes come with a macaron on top, that the cupcakes and minicakes always have a delicious gooey surprise core. It is so nice to have a friendly local small business too, walking distance so the calories don't count right?

We first encountered Nadia from Cake Date at a wedding open day. If the cake we tasted hadn’t been enough to convince us (it was, it was INCREDIBLE) then talking with Nadia would have confirmed it for us. Her passion for what she does was so infectious!
