Chinchilla is located approximately 300km north west of Brisbane along the Warrego Highway, the second township after Dalby within the Western Downs region. The Warrego Highway is a major through route for traffic heading East and West, in fact it is the main road for traffic travelling between Brisbane and the Northern Territory.
I could not have wished for a more pleasant and relaxed stay. Every aspect; the welcome, the sparkling clean room and especially the quality breakfast and simple evening meals made my stay perfect. I could not recommend White Gums highly enough. Great place to stay. Extremely clean and lovely comfy bed.

While travelling through Queensland this was one of the standout motels. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were modern. It was quiet even though it is located just off the highway. We also had dinner in our rooms and the food was really good. The motel is located opposite the newly created botanic parklands, a lovely place for a walk after a long day driving. Our hosts were really friendly and informative. Will certainly stay here again.

The rooms are pristinely clean and smell fantastic and fresh. Beds and linen are brilliant.
The owners are friendly, helpfull and accommodating (and also cook a great steak).
It's also an easy walk straight over the road, through the Botanic gardens and into the main Street.
Myself and work colleagues won't stay anywhere else now whilst in Chinchilla.
