At Okinja Early Learning we welcome you and your child into our childcare centre, which we have created to be an extension of the family home. Our vision is to provide a safe, warm and stimulating environment where early childhood education and quality of child care are of the highest priority. Located in the stunning beachside suburb of Alexandra Headland on the Sunshine Coast, Okinja Early Learning Centre & Kindergarten caters for children from birth to 6 years of age, operating from 6:30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.

Our beautiful handcrafted timber dragonfly located in the children's playground represents change, transition and adaptability, and we have incorporated this into our logo to reflect the nature of what we do.
Our philosophy places a strong emphasis on play-based learning, providing our children with a foundation that guides their educational growth and forms the basis for lifelong learning. Our values and beliefs align with a Play-Based Curriculum focusing on promoting natural elements, play theory and Reggio inspired practices using an Emergent style approach.
Located at Alexandra Headland, our Centre is conveniently located within a short distance to the Maroochydore CBD. It is walking distance to the beach and is situated next to a lush and tranquil setting bordering the Alex Forest Bushland Park to the rear of the site. This backdrop creates a natural outdoor environment and enhances the outdoor play area which is filled with natural and sustainable play equipment.
Conveniently situated only nine-minutes away from Maroochydore, our childcare centre is a haven for children and parents. Okinja Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is nestled near the Alex Forest Bushland Park and the serene shores of the beach. We provide superb service that you can trust. Our natural outdoor environment is filled with sustainable play equipment.

Beautifully designed rooms and lots of outdoor space to explore and play ..love the natural look and minimal plastic🌻 I have found the staffing to be consistent and genuinely interested and enthusiastic always open armed and engaged with the children ..the director is lovely and her positive relationship with her team is obvious..so glad I found Okinja

My daughter has been going to Okinja since 2020, she absolutely loves going. The Educators are so caring, they take the time to really know each and everyone one of the children, they give great feedback of their day when you pick them up. The presentation of Okinja is of the highest standard, they are clean, bright, and welcoming. Kristy is absolutely wonderful, she is super responsive to any questions, or things that need to be actioned. My daughter has been in daycares in Perth & Adelaide and this is by far the best daycare, she is in great hands when she is there and I can’t fault anything

We have been sending my son & daughter since they were 10 months old and the centre has only gotten better! The new management has only increased the centres value with new programs and entertainment for the kids. The staff are very hands on and have helped us immensely with my sons constant crying and detachment on drop offs. They make the working… mum feel worthy of their role and maintain the balance amongst many families.
Kristy - the in house centre manager always goes above and beyond to fit us in for extra days too, so don’t be afraid to ask!
