I decided to walk out the front of Hopscotch, Braddon at 2am on the weekend for the first night post covid for a fun time with my friends…. only to be told specifically by numberplate “TX88” with “powering towards the 1st ZNE private school in Australia” on the side of the car that he will only drop me back to my residential address that I’ve lived near for the past 26 years If I pay double the standard price ($60) and only in cash upfront. I felt that with all the competitiveness between Uber, Ola and Taxis that the employee renting the taxi would be happy just to get my direct fare

First time using a taxi in 10 years. Booked through the 13cabs app. Was charged twice for the fare (once by the app, once by the driver). Submitted a complaint through the call centre. Was told they have no affiliation with the app (???). 2 months later no resolution. Call centre was unable to refund me or pass me on to anyone higher capable of proving a refund. Incredibly unhelpful and lousy experience. Sticking with uber next time.

Honestly this company is a joke, no wonder people don't bother using taxi's anymore. Was just refused a ride for a client because the taxi driver "was knocking off", and another wasn't called. Called the helpline to no avail. Don't bother, just call an uber.

Extremely poor customer service. Conflicting information from different members of their call centre. Call centre sounds like it’s located in NZ, staff did not know Canberra street names and suburbs. Took 30 minutes all up on the phone to order a taxi due to a small special request. Most appalling service, won’t be using this company again.

We got in the taxi from the Kingston hotel told to pay the whole fare straight away, so overpriced it's not funny, we were going to farrer and he requested we pay him $100. But we gave him the $100. He then wouldn't put my windows down and after I put the windows down again he kicked us out of his car, being aggressive. while people were still getting out he drove off so they fell out off the car and have injuries on their hands, and he drove off with our $100!I don't know where you hire your workers or how easy it is to get a job with you guys, but from 99% of my experiences theres has been nothing

Booked 2 maxi taxis 5 days prior to our high end event. Elite Taxi said, they can not guarantee the maxi taxi if there are other priorities.
I am asking: why would be other priorities if I book 5 days in advance? what is the point of the booking? I am booking 5 days in advance to make sure that I get on the "priority list".
Taxi was not there on time, instead of 2 maxi taxis we got 1 maxi and 1 standard taxi, the driver didn't get the right instruction........
This was the trip #1 of the day.
Few hours later we ordered again from Elite Taxis and we got less cars than we needed and with 20 mins

We attempted to use this service, first day fully in Canberra we tried ordering a maxi taxi for an hour but our ride got queued and ignored. You'd think that the drivers want to make money but hey, bad taxi services don't get you very far. They tried getting us to pay up front over the phone and only when we called to cancel our cab (decided to just go with Uber) someone decided to take the opportunity. If you want a dodgy taxi service, this is the one. I can't say how immensely disappointed I am, the name of this service is just false advertisement. Don't use this service.

Worst taxi experiences with this company. Only writing a review now after multiple bad experiences.
Booked a taxi on 3 different occasions and they don't turn up leaving you late for things. Two times I almost missed my flights.
One driver didn't use the meter and charged a flat fare.
Drivers will yell at you (which is intimidating and scary when you're in their car) for travelling too short a distance even though they accepted the booking and even call up before hand to confirm the destination. Why accept a job then yell at the customer for it?? The driver even threatened to never accept a

My first time using a taxi in Canberra. No problem, came on time. It was a very early morning pick up so we were a bit worried that there was no plan b available if they didn't show but all went well.
No contact or confirmation apart from after online payment but it's not a problem if they are reliable.
Would use again.
