What a Fantastic Experience. Being a Local we were a bit worried leading up to the day as there was alot of poor weather. Andrew assured us that it was going to be a great day fishing and HE WAS NOT WRONG!.
This Man knows his stuff.
The Day of the trip it was beautiful blue sky's, Incredibly calm water and Exhilarating Fishing!
Andrew knows the spots that will get hits, he knows what to do and it is just a great environment.
Andrew was professional but also easy to talk and joke with.
I could not recommend this business highly enough.

Been fishing with Meadsy on and off over the past 5 yrs and never missed, always lives up to his reputation as the Best Barra Guide in NQ. Apart from his dedication to always catch you a fish or ten from the time you hop on the boat, one the most enjoyable parts of the charter is that Andrew always is keen to make you a better fisherman as well by teaching you his ways. There wouldn't be another guide with the amount of knowledge about fishing around Townsville and he is always happy to let you know some of his secrets. Cheers Meadsy my catch rate on my own has exploded due to your teachings and

We had a great time over two days. You need to provide your own food and drinks which can be bought on the way in a truck stop with a coffee. No big deal. Andrew worked really hard and moved around and didn't mind getting snagged up as "that is where the Barra are". Four of us got a few fish each up to 90cm. Andrew even took us to the local pub for a beer which was great. Great charter.

Worst fishing charter I’ve been on.
He threw every one of his cigarettes into the ocean (must’ve been 30 by 2pm when I decided to cut the charter short)
Had only 2 marks for marlin (which we had organised months in advance and andew has assured me he had chased for many seasons.)
1 mark for mackrel, which he decided to change and go after without discussing with me, even though I’d wanted to chase billfish.
When we didn’t catch a mackrel, we went chasing reds, where we didn’t hook a single fish. How does a fishing guide not have a mark for red emperor or nanigui?

Whilst we caught a few fish, our 3 paying customers left rather dissapointed with the guide cutting the charter 2 hours short for no reason at all !!!. You would think paying $750 in the hand would entitle you to a bit of food, drink (even water) but no. Nothing was supplied by the owner, not even a block of ice to keep our fish cool for the journey home. Oh, and it's polite to ask for a soft drink and not to help yourself skipper. If your asthmatic or don't like cigarettes, then stay at home! Whilst the 2 hours catching bait turned out to something different for one member of our trip, its the

Would not recommend to anyone, my mum booked this for me and my stepdad and was highly disappointed. We were told we were chasing mackerel out the reef, after about 2 hours of chasing bait we sat near the shore wondering what we were chasing, when we asked he finally said we are after Barra. "It was too windy to go out to the reef", there was slight winds but the water was quite glassy most of the day. Could have got out therewith a 12ft tinny, let alone his "$80,000" boat. The chain smoking was dreadful, and Andrew using the prawns he caught for bait to throw a line in himself was very unprofessional
