With the start of the Great Barrier Reef located just over 30 Nautical miles from the coast, Townsville is one of the largely untapped riches of our charter business. Townsville is also the closest city to Flinders Reef and Holmes Reef to chase the prized Red Emperor. We also offer a large range of smaller boat charters for chasing Barramundi up the estuaries and fishing the shoals 15 Nautical miles off Townsville.
No matter your preferred style, the team at Northern Conquest Charters cater for all types of Cairns based liveaboard fishing including both heavy and light Tackle game fishing, sport fishing, metal jigging, soft plastics, popper casting and trolling. Princess Charlotte Bay is one of the most diverse fishing regions in Australia. Opportunities are simply endless with pristine river systems, headlands, islands, reef and shelf options all boasting a plethora of iconic Australian sportsfish - those "bucket-list" fish we have all dreamt about. One of the biggest attractions of Princess Charlotte Bay is its sheer remoteness, being located approximately 125 nautical miles from Cooktown.
At Northern Conquest Charters, we have a range of boats and locations. All vessels provide passengers with the opportunity to experience cruising, snorkelling and fishing on the Great Barrier Reef in total comfort and safety. Our registration allows us to travel anywhere in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park from Lizard Island in the north to the Whitsunday's in the south.

Went out on a 12hr charter, they called the day before and asked if we were happy to stay out longer as the fishing in close was a bit hit and miss, ended up going for 16hrs. Deckies and skipper were fantastic, every stop was on fish, moved on as soon as the sharks arrived, quick to re-rig and keep bait up and always one step ahead of us. Was a long day and they were always happy to help and have a chat. The wife and I had a great day and brought home a good haul of decent fish, we will definitely go again. Next time for at least 24hrs

Fantastic two night charter. Had a fantastic crew onboard which really made the experience what it was. Food was 5 star, decky & captain really knew their stuff & all were very very willing to assist us at all times. Our weather wasn’t amazing but we still caught over 100 good sized fish between four of us over what ended up being just under two day’s of fishing. Sharks were a big problem a couple of times & probably meant we came home with 25-30 less fish than we should have. Still ended up with over 20kg of fish each to take home.

We have been on many charters over the years but none compared to NCC.
Everything fell into place the moment we boarded "Sir Reel"
Nothing negative to say at all. The crew were friendly and professional.
If you just want to catch lots of fish, eat good food and relax this is the trip for you.
We could not have been looked after any better.
The experience will be well remembered. The only down side to our trip was that one of our group was stuck in COVID Sydney and wasn't able to join us.

Northern Conquest Charters are a first class Fishing Charter business. I have been with Cliff and his crew on several occasions and each time the Skipper running the boat has always found top quality table fish of many different species. The crew are always on the go cleaning fish, tying rigs and keeping tangles to a minimum to maximise fishing time. Decks are always kept tidy and when the fish are off the bite the crew are ready to get to the next spot all night long. Roland was the Chef for my latest trip and his culinary skills are second to none, he had food on the go straight away for our

We have been doing yearly charters to Northern Australia since 2009 and the 2 trips we have had with Northern Conquest (one from Townsville and one from Cairns) have been the 2 best fishing trips we have been on.
Over this period we have been lucky enough to have only dealt with good charter operators. However, Norther Conquest Charters is not only the best Charter company I have dealt with, they are the best company I have dealt with from the tourism industry period.
